My hubby and daughter are headed out to visit his mom and other relatives tonight. Flying and driving is included, long distances. I won’t see my girl for possibly up to a month.

Please pray for their safe travel, safe time being on vacation, and safe return.

Having never been more than down the road from my daughter, EVER…I am a mess…. A GIGANTIC mess, right now.

Thank you and bless you all.

              ^ “Mini MM” Lol!

Aw MM! There has to be a day when your separated from her. And she’s with your hubby. (((Safe travel vibes))) for them both. Is your son still home? You should take a different approach to this instead of worrying + missing. When was the last time you got this much family out of your hair? Time to do what you want. Play your music, walk around in your undies, eat the foods no-one else likes, dress up your daughters dog and take pics. Ok, so lame ideas but you get the drift.

Thanks for the vibes, everyone. She landed safely early this morning and is now trying to catch up on some much needed rest, although she’s called me a few times already and says she wants to come back home. lol….

They’re in California. Most of the family lives in the East Bay there, but then she’ll be traveling down south with Grandma to a timeshare she has on the beach. (Her dad has his own things to do while there so he doesn’t get in her way, so she’s at the mercy of the relatives.) She’s supposed to stay with G-ma through the first week of July, so she’ll get to see a real fireworks show for the first time in her life. ^_^ If she lasts that long.

The boy is here with me. This is why my daughter left, she can’t stand him. But I think she’s wondering if she really had to go to this extreme now.

I have plenty to do. Supposed to have the son help me clean out the house. Three bunnies, three cats and one dogglefox still need cleanings and meals and walks (respectively) at regular times during the day…but after watching the plane being tracked on the internet all night last night and not getting much sleep…I’m a little slower than usual today. zzzzzz…………

Jenna (dog) also has an ear infection I have to remember to treat each day. Mimzy continues to ruin any sleep I might get with his disapproval of goggie moving into the bedroom by throwing his litter box at all hours and messing his entire cage, so more work for me. It’s not like I’m ‘smokin’ cigarettes and watchin’ Captain Kangaroo’ …lmao.

Needless to say, I am using every method at my disposal to keep myself sane. I have terrible anxiety disorder and I thought I’d beat it until this trip came up. >.< This wasn't quite as difficult (although it was) when hub and son went to Cali last year…but I had two big dogs to walk and my daughter's company then, it was like a mini vacation for us to be away from the boys that long…this is just agony of the first degree because…well…she's my baby. *sniffle*

She puts on a brave face, but you can tell she’s scared too. Even with family around, it’s just not the same because she and I have a rather extraordinary bond. And I know that will probably change after this trip, she’ll become more independent (which is good) or I suppose it could go the other way and she could get more clingy…but overall I’m just hoping she has some fun. She desperately needs some. Watching my son get his own life has kind of made her wonder why she doesn’t have one yet. *shrugs*

Sooo…if you guys see me in here more frequently kind of making random, meaningless or garbled posts to this thread…that’ll be why. rofl…

ok, everyone old enough to know what

‘smokin’ cigarettes and watchin’ Captain Kangaroo’ …lmao.

is referring to, raise your hands! (raises both hands) now that song’s stuck in my head.

Safe vibes for all MM, I know it’s hard. The first time my son flew across the country to visit a girlfriend by himself I was exhausted the entire time worrying. Then they come back and laugh. It’s going to be hard for her, but she’ll cope and might even enjoy bonding (being tortured by) the relatives.

                      ((((quiet vibes for mimzy))))

                              Thanks so much everyone.
Oh Lintini, I do wish I could’ve gone with her, we’ve been wanting to take a trip together for I don’t know how long, but I am the only one besides my daughter who can properly look after the furbabies, plus I don’t fly well. Since my cancer, I have a condition in my arm called lymphedema and in high altitudes my arm swells up and it could get stuck that way, so any travel I do from now on will have to be strictly land-based.

(And I’ve been up and down the AlCan….talk about the Highway to Hell…or maybe from there…!)

MB…thinking seriously about it. At least Mimzy and someone…either Pip or Fiver…simply to get him to quiet down. I think he is upset that he doesn’t get ‘bed-time’ to see his buddy because the dogglefox is always there now. Plus his nose is worse…I fear he may be allergic to her.
A little Benadryl for him tonight methinks. And either that or some Zyrtec for me…I gotta grab some kip and that may be the only way to get the deed done.

                              But yeah, one of the main goals of clearing out the house (besides some spare cash) is that we need a new neutral area to begin bonding. I am becoming concerned that the bunnies are simply not going to live the long lives they deserve if they do not buddy up somehow. They all seem lonesome to me. ;_;

lol @ kralspace…is that song REALLY that old? I heard it on my local NPR station the other weekend during our folk sampler and I just love those harmonies! ^_^ (I’m a sucker for the Statler Bros.) Or were you just talking about Capt. K? (just thought of my fave character from that show when I was a kid…Mr. Bunny Rabbit…do you remember him?? I always LOVED how he stole the carrots from the Captain EVERY TIME…roflmao!)
