Any other bunny lovers AND geocachers?   I love to geocache!  It’s so much fun!

A friend and I have tried it a few times with her gps but haven’t found any yet. We have found quite a few letterboxes in this area and that’s been fun. I would like to carve a bunny stamp to hide. I get the Groundspeak newsletter and have been reading about someone who’s finding and destroying caches and bragging about it. that’s sorry. Where abouts do you search?

We stayed on Whidbey Island for our vacation and cached around the island. It was really fun. We had a few failures – one cache we spent over 30 mins looking for I’m sure has been muggled (stolen). There are people on the island that destroy caches too. They call themselves Eco-protectors (?) or something like that.
I don’t really understand it, because we wouldn’t have visited the island and hiked on the trails if there hadn’t been caches to find.
And we didn’t go tromping throught the forest either – Some of the hikes were amazing! We saw things we never would have known were there.

I’d like to try it, but with my knee injury, hikes are out of the question

I always have been vaguely interested, but not enough to actually do anything. I hike a lot, though. I have a yearly pass to Great Falls National Park, and my understanding is that there’s a lot of caches there. Maybe one day I’ll go looking for them.

I geocache a little, I do one or two a year that is not hiking but 4x4ing in our Trucks. It’s great fun, sorta like a poker run but with geocache sites leading you to your next destination in the wilderness.

I took a bunch of pictures this weekend when I was geocaching with my friends.  The pics are posted on my blog, but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post a link?

I know we’re not supposed to revive old threads, but this one was so specific I went back and found it.
I ran across my letterboxing bag tonight and scanned my personal stamp.

You find clues online and try to find the hidden caches that usually contain a stamp and a book or log of some sort. You stamp and date the hidden log book with your stamp, then stamp your own book with the stamp found in the cache. I would like to carve my own bunny stamp one day, but for now I like this one. I have a color ink pad I use sometimes too.
