Omfg. I am still shaking. X_____X I can’t even kind of word what I feel. ahtoahtoaogf. Does that make it evident!?

Sooo -deeeep breath- bunnyproofing, I had my bf and roomie do some stuff under my bed, clenaing it out and stuff. It’s a wooden frame, and it didn’t get put back together quite right. Can you see where this is going already!?

So I was sitting on my bed on my laptop, half-watching Tank run around, and I kind of sat up like, wtf? sounds like splintering…?

The bed collapsed near the headboard. when I knew for a fact. That he was under there. I slid back on the matress a bit and hit my head and omfg I was so freaking out because I just saw him go under there and right by the headboard is his favorite place to hang out so far and ooommmgggggg. So I scramble up, panicing and in UTTER ANGUISH on the inside but trying to stay calm outside on the slim chance that he could still be alive so I wouldn’t FREAK HIM OUT in what could be the last few moments of his life, trying to move the boxspring all by myself, thinking ohmygod I have only had this beautiful, gentle creature for five days and I killed him already, nay, CRUSHED HIM TO DEATH.

        Aaaaaaaaaagh.

So I am trying to move this heavy stuff aside (I am weak–I was especially then) when he hops out from under the desk, perfectly fine, to see what I am doing. He must have been near the foot of the bed when it collapsed.

        -deeeep breath-

SO, I had my roommate and bf fix the bed, and reinforce it until it was actually tougher than when we bought it in the first place, and Tank is going to hate me forever because I held him way longer than he wanted to be held. I couldn’t help it.

I am SO HAPPY and still so… I don’t know… like nervous-excited/in pain? at the same time. Please give me your e-affections x.x

Oh my gosh! How scary! I would have reacted the same way! Poor you! I’m glad to hear that Tank is just fine (and he’s probably laughing at you). ((((((((((((((hugs!))))))))))))))))

Oh my word! I would have freaked out too! Hugs to you and Tank (who still doesn’t realize what’s wrong with you… LOL!)

Not as scary as that… butI had a scary maybe 10-15 minutes when we first got Meadow. I bunnyproofed the living room well, but I hadn’t realized how small she could smush herself. She was only about 4 months, so she hadn’t had a real big growth spurt yet. Our entertainment center had been proofed so she couldn’t get to the back, but it’s one of those (HUGE!!!) Sauder build-it-yourself pieces that has a decorative cut-out at the bottom of the front. She found the biggest spot and slid right underneath. I was freaking thinking of all the wires she had access to. (And if she made it… freaking about what my husband’s response would be when our new bunny chomped thru tv, surround sound, dvd, and playstation wires, all at once!)

I finally was able to prod/chase her out with a yardstick. Not “humane” I know… but what the heck was I supposed to do?! I had to get her out ASAP!

I shoved flattened cardboard boxes underneath and within 2 weeks she was too big to get under.

You are probably right, Barbie. Hah. XD

Yes, Beka, I too would chase her with a yardstick xD

Thanks both of you x___X I feel soooo much better today xD wheeeew. And Tank is over his pouting session he started last night because I wouldn’t put him down. xD

Oh wow! I can’t even imagine. Once, I had Beans out in my room. I had the pen covering half of the room that I haven’t bunny proofed. I look away for two seconds and he is gone! I was searching for at least an hour. I had no clue where he could have gone. Guys, you will think I’m crazy, but I looked so much for so long that I started to consider magic rabbits! I was freaking out! Then he just hopped out from under the cage (which I had NO clue he could squeeze under and in between the bricks!) I started screaming at the poor guy going “HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!?” Haha, let’s just say I wasn’t having the best day
                He forgave me, though.
But that’s still not as scary as what happened with Tank! *shivers*

I totally get your furstration there though xD I’d probably shout at Tank too.

Yeah… Well, ANYTHING is the scariest thing ever if you think it means harm to your rabbit. But ugggh crushed his little bones to death? >< Really, I was sick for a while after, and my room mate, once I explained what happened and that Tank was fine, was calling him rabbit burger, which at the time was NOT FUNNY. But it kind of is now haha. He apologized and said he was trying to make me feel better, not worse.

That was a nasty scare.   My heart would have fallen and I would have been weak with fear.  Glad bunny is ok.   Phew.  I would have been holding him for a long time too.   Agh

I remember being at a car race in daytona when my son was small.   HE wandered off to see some stuff for sale.  I turned around he was gone. I panicked screaming Brandon  I mean my heart fell and I got a cold sweat break out all over.  He never answered but I ran over to the sales and there he was.  Scared me to death.

You and I both must have lost some years off our lives between your bun n my son.   I still panic sometimes when Cotton is flopped over.   Ruby flopped over and omg I yelled RUBY and she didn’t move.  I ran over and she pokes her head up at me like what is this crazy lady doing?

Your bunny probably is laughing about that though.  Whew  lol  he came out from under the desk.  They sure can give us giant scares I tell you.
