I wrote out a rant yesterday and deleted it, but it seems this week is just out to get me.

Yesterday – I loose my Bo bunny, I have a terrible day at work anyways, I get a aweful comment on my facebook about how my Hubby was taking my dying bunny to a chinese food resurant…. like I wasn’t upset enough. That guy’s been deleted from my list, and my Hubby sent him a messege last night about it.
I go home, not wanting to, cry my eyes out, and then clean and feed my bunnies, finding Kyoto’s dewlap looks MUCH bigger then usual, I give it a food feel, and he has a golf ball sized lump in it…;oh for petesake.

This Morning – My eyes are swollen from crying and I look like the elephant man, I go to check on my bun’s b4 i leave for my crappy job, to find Specner is sitting in the litter and not taking treats… I fill him full of Ovol and will check on him at lunch time. *sigh*

I would love to just sleep the rest of this crappy week away.
My best friend just lost her Grandfather, he pretty much raised her, my own Grandfathers been in and out of the hospital with heart problems, My other friend just lots her bunny that she rescued as a tiny feral kit when his family was all killed, he got severe head tilt overnight it was just aweful, oh and i am the gossip topic at work b/c I’ve been having my own health issues recently.

Anyways……… that’s my rant, i’m not sure if it’s made me feel better typing it all out yet or not. I’m going to go eat something totally unhealthy and very sweet now :p

(OH and i had to re-do this as it woud time out LOL)

          Chocolate! Now!

Oh Andi, I’m so sorry everything is piling up on you right now. People can be so very stupid and heartless. I should bring Lola and Pringles down to give them a good thumping on the head, they’re not afraid of anything. Sending huge (((((((((healing vibes)))))))))))) for all of you. Keep typing, it will help you feel better.

Andi, rant as much as you want here, because we all understand how you feel.

You know, when Jack died last month, my eyes were red and puffy as well. And everytime I went to the toilet, I started crying…I went to the toilet every 20 minutes or so, I think! I decided if anyone should ask, I would say I had hay fever.

Perhaps Spencer is just grieving? He is mourning just like you are, so don’t worry too much about him being ill, but perhaps just give him all his favourite things to eat and see if it helps. I hope he feels better soon!

Sorry about Kyoto now needing vet care as well. You are really going into a bad periode.

As for your supposedly friend: idiot!

Thankfully, the weekend is just a few days away, so hang tight! And make sure you get a really good night’s sleep tonight. You really need it.

Ah I am so sorry you are having a bum week. We all have weeks like that so feel free to tell us all about it. I loved your description of the elephant man face. I look like that often after crying then sleeping ha!

Ya as Karla said…the weekend is near! Mint chocolate chip icecream sounds really good right now,,,

There are sympathetic ears and shoulders to cry on all around you, dear. Take your pick.

Sounds like a perfectly dreadful week! I’m having one myself now. No real animal problems at the moment, but lots of family troubles. Hugs to you!

Ah…we all need a good rant, a nice cry and a big slice of angel food cake with strawberries and cream! Mmmmmm! At least, that’s how I’ve been dealing with my woes this week.

And as far as the idiot who posted to your FB page…pfft! Don’t waste a thought on such a loser! He is as illegitimate as they come. *B-slaps nasty person* Good for your hubby going to your rescue like that though!

We all need a good rant once in a while. My friend’s motto says it best: When it rains, It pours! But in the words of an annoying little red head: The sun Will come out tomorrow!!! (I had to tell myself that a few times this week too!)

                        Thanks everyone
I felt a little better last night eating a bowl of strawberries, sitting with three of my buns during a power outage lol. Angle food cake would have been nice that’s for sure, it’s my favorite.

Today I made an appointment for Kyoto to see my Vet, as I believe the lump is causing him pain when I touch it.

I wish my own Dr was as good as my Vet some days, seems my animals get better care then i do! I had to clean Ani’s bum yesterday, as it was poopy, this has never happened before, so i am wondering if it’s stress related to loosing Bo? I’m paying extra attantion to her and her (new) brothers, as they were all Bo’s friends. I sorta wonder if Bo also stayed around a bit longer to help Ani bond to the two boys, she has such a bad additude problem (a real ‘female dog’) otherwise she would have been all alone when he left, now she has Kyoto spreading the love and grooming her.

This weekend is a long weekend here, I look forward to not being at work, and having no set plans so i can just hang out and relax. I just want today to go by fast so i can get done with tomorrow and onto a weekend LOL

Spencer just needed 2 doses of Ovol and some running around to make his tummy happy again. This is an ongoing thing with him and his sister when they are shedding.

I have now twice removed male ‘friends’ from my Facebook list because of crule jokes towards my pets, specially when my pets are ill. And these are not teen boys, but mature adult men (Wait ‘mature’ adult men… does that exsist? lol). I have even told them in the past I did not appreciate that rude humor, as it was hurtful. But still they continue? … and this guy wonders why he’s divorced and can’t get a date, who wants a jerk like that.
I am kind of curious if he will appologize or even bring it up at the next event I see him at. My own grandmother raised rabbits as food, and she would never suggest that even as a joke about my ‘babies’. I am sure we ALL have delt with the ‘rabbit stew’ comments on one occassion or more, and i can deal with those by throwing them off saying I used to eat rabbit and explaining why you don’t eat ones as old as mine (With a straight ‘matter of fact’ face)… that really puts a screw in their joke :p Give them facts over a reaction :p
But when I am sensative, and hurting i cannot deal with it. I wonder why people think crule jokes are ok when you are already hurting?
I’m glad to have rabbit lover friends, and forums with so many others who feel the same way about our amazing companions that just happen to be rabbits.

                          Aww, I’m so sorry. ((hugs))

At least next week will have to be better than this, right? Things will improve. It always helps me to focus on that during the hard times.

Just a little update, Kyoto’s Vet visit did well, he was a trooper being all poked and proded at with needles. He has two lumps in his dewlap, both fatty lumps and nothing to be to concerned about The one real big one had us questioning a bit, but it all worked out. If it grows enough that it is bothering him it will be removed. I am hoping it stops growing.

Ani is being anti-social, but i found her laying next to kyoto this morning. I am rebuilding her and Bo’s cage so the three can live in there.

I’ve got some people wanting me to come out and excersize their horses, so I am excited to get back into that, I believe it will be a great stress reliever. I am however dealing with a bit of a hoarding situation with a lady, and am trying to find a way to have a very ill and unhappy old dog in her care put down, so this has been a bit of a mess for me. … next :p

It seems like these fatty lumps are pretty common – I’ve had a few removed from my rabbits that were benign and another friend had the same with one of her rabbits.

We were worried b/c the small one felt like a fatty lump, the big one did not, my vet though abcess first off. And then we had issues with the fat disapearing off the slide LOL
The dewlap seems to be a very common place for these and a high % of the lumps in rabbits are just fat. I’m just glad it’s nothing serious

Yeah, I blocked a friend recently as well. My boyfriend was away and as a joke to him I wrote on his wall, that I was having fun and spent most of my days at the shelter…so, he was in for lots of furry surprises when he would come back home. And the friend just wrote something about it being weird to have pets, and that animals were for food. Anyhow, he was always being racial, so I was getting really tired of him and this was just the final straw.  I find that people who don’t like animals lack empathetic skills…and since they make such comments, well, that just proves my theory right.

Other than that, it sounds like you are doing better. It helped to rant. And I’m glad to hear that Kyoto is fine.

I find it’s more men then women who lack the empathy towards animals. I used to think it was just men, but I have 2 girl friends one in particular that told me she was know as ‘black heart’ when she was younger. She tries to be polite at least, but has no empathy to any animal other then a dog, even her own dog I feel sorry for, I mean she is well cared for, but this girl won’t go out of her way for this ‘pure bred from a breeder’ toy breed, if it’s going to cost her $500, she’s just have the dog put down.
These friends think I am crazy for paying for the medication and medical care for my diabetic dog (who was a ‘free’ rescue mutt, while their dogs are from ‘breeders’ … backyard i am sure).
I am glad they keep their opinions mostly to themselves, otherwise I don’t think we’d have much of a friendship LOL

Maybe I am over-the-top for the love I have of animals and nature, but who’s it hurting? (Oh no! crazy lady with to much love to share LOL)

I think it is great though that you can be good friends with people are like that…I like that. It just shows you are a woman with much love to share I try so hard not to let it interfere with my view on people, because most people really don’t give a toss about animals, but animals just mean so much to me, that I cannot help it not influence my view.

I try not to ask people how they feel about animals the first few times, when I meet them, so that I won’t reject them straight away. It’s just that I feel it says so much about values and their personality, so that we will probably disagree on almost everything else as well then. I have a friend who hunts though, and he is actually our bunnys-sitter, as he is the one I feel shows the most genuine interest in my bunnies and animals as such.

Re. your friend with the dog. I find actually that you will never find a bunny-lover, or a cat-lover or another small animal-lover who doesn’t love other animals as well. But you will find quite a few dog-lovers who actually don’t like other animals at all. My mum always used to tell me to be wary of dog-lovers I have a dog now, but I’m sure she meant those who only like dogs.
