I started to listen to this last week. I'm only about a third of the way through – the part where Charlotte & Mr. Collins get Married. It is pretty funny.

I think the author did a good job of keeping the “feel” of the book while adding some totally ridiculous zombie situations!Who knew Elizabeth was so good with a sword?

Has any one else read it? What did you think?

I hear the movie will star Natalie Portman.

I loved it! I've always been a huge Jane Austen fan, and I giggled throughout this entire book. I loved it when he used quotes from the real books, but with slight zombie tweaks, like:

"No ninjas! How was that possible? Five daughters brought up at home without any ninjas! I never heard of such a thing. Your mother must have been quite a slave to your safety."

as opposed to...

"No governess! How was that possible? Five daughters brought up at home without a governess! I never heard of such a thing. Your mother must have been quite a slave to your education.''

Also, when Jane writes to Lizzie in the real book and says "Excepting a sore throat and headache, there is not much the matter with me." but in the zombie version says "excepting a few bruises and a minor stab wound, there is not much the matter with me."

lol

Awesome book! They're making a movie out of it?? That I must see.

I saw there's a prequel to this book. It's written by another author though so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be as good.

Brittany - An author took the original Jane Austen book and added loads of Zombie gore! His goal was to change something on every page - sometimes just a few words (as demonstrated by LizzieKittyBuns Post) sometimes adding whole fight scenes.

Peepi&warri - there is also a graphic novel written by a different person. Other than knowing they exist - I don't know anything about the graphic novel or the Prequel.

I heard Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters wasn't nearly as clever as Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, but I haven't yet given it a try, so it might be worth it!
