Will you guys help me think of a name for my new baby boy?
So far I have Monkeybun telling me “Smudge”
And I was thinking something music - like Mozart “Mo” Or Beethoven …
Someone at work suggested Skittles. That’s not very manly though. What do you think??
lol you should go off the name of hero movie guys, such as your mr indiana jones what about sherlock holmes?
hey those almost ryme!!! im good!
again, pardon my spelling.
Well, I’m watching Wall-E, which is one of the sweetest movies ever. What about Wally?
: D
how about snickers? thats what i was going to name mocha but decided not to. i think its a cute boy name!
Hmmm!!
Well, all those are cute names…I was thinking the same thing along the lines of using the smudge on his face as inspiration. I was thinking Ash or Coal/Cole. My husband suggested Lindy short for Charles Lindburgh because his ears look like the ear covers on the aviator helmuts.
I like Smudge it looks like he has an ink smudge on his nose. *sigh* such a cutie!
Ooh, I really like “Mo.” I actually just sang Mozart’s Grand Mass in C tonight with my college choir at a pretty big theatre.
I really love the names Mozart and Beethoven for a bun! Cute new addition by the way
What do you guys think of
Han Solo “Han or Hans”
Or
Luke Skywalker “Luke”
Luke Hes so boyish
Yeah, but Han was more manly And less annoying. lol
but luke is cute too.
from the sounds of it, hans might be better and more manlier. lintini did mention that his poops are quite giant..

i was going to name twix that!!
really?! thats cool.
He really looks like a Holland Lop. I would name him something Dutch. I did a search for Dutch boy names and there are a lot of cute ones. Too many to pick a fave.
I like:
Mozart
Han Solo
Ash
I’m glad this is working out for you!
How about Sprinkles. He has sprinkles of color on him. Talk about a cutie bun So adorable.
oh, my vote is Ash!!!!!!! that is the best and it is a manly name and it suits him…looks like he has flecks of ash on him!
Ooo those are some good ones!
Obi Wan is cute…Obi …hmm
I dunno where all these star wars names came from – originally cuz of Indy – so more harrison ford names – han solo Hmmm
I was looking at Dutch composers based on LPT’s suggestion and saw there was one named Benedictus Buns!
My other thoughts were Gustav or Pluto
What about music terminology or names of pieces?
I like Han or Hans! Hehe. It really doesn’t matter what you name him! He could be named “Fugly” and he’d still be the cutest danged thing ever!
[oops, double post]
He is too CUTE!!! For some reason he reminds me of ice cream! LOL I do like the name Hans though. It’s cute.
I looked at him again…Smudge suits him better I think
Gustav Holst is the name of the composer that wrote the piece I have tattooed on my back. He’s one of my favorite composers. I have a part of Mars: Bringer of War on my lower back. All the music nerds go nuts when they see it. Pretty cool lol
My bf just thought of …. Obi Bun Kenobi!
Ok I change my vote Obi Bun Kenobi is now my fave (I am a HUGE star wars fan)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
What about PACH….for Pachabel (excuse my spelling). I think his CANON IN D is one of the prettiest pieces of music!
Oh and pronounce it P aawwww K not like PATCH!
Obi Bun Kenobi…. That’s cute…
Yeah, I think that’s a winner!
arg!!! i had the perfect name.. continued to read the posts, and now its gone -_- why does this happen?
I remembered!!!!
the mouse off ratitoue…. (i prob. spelled that wrong)
REMMY!!!!!
No matter what you name him, I’ll still call him Smudgiekins >.>
I still haven’t named him
Really? I thought Obi Bun was the winner. Have you got any you’re thinking of?
Obi sounds….blech to me.
I want a cute name that fits him. I guess I don’t know him well enough yet to make something stick
I need to look at a name list and just go through them all.
lapaki means rabbit in hawaiian. That’s kinda cute.
so funny, I looked at some hawaiian names too as they came up in a different search I did. I found an African one that means “wonder or suprise” – Makalo. It’s pronounced Mah-kaw-low.
Luke Skywalker
Han Solo
Obi Bun Kenobi
Lapaki
Mars
Nemo
Bruce
Percy
Mozart
Oliver
Jedi
You forgot Smudge
Lol!!!
Oooh, I’m liking Jedi. And especially since you have Jedi Bun too. Can’t find the pic but i’m sure you know the one I mean.
Lol yea, silly Bun with that lightsaber
My daughter loves that pic of him with the sunglasses on so much, she suggested Joe Cool…you know…Snoopy’s alter ego?
Just because I recently bought the DVD, I’m thinking something more like Hamlet. (‘Cept it’d have to be changed to “Bunlet”.)
*gotta love David Tennant* ^_^
My vote is Obi Bun Kenobi. If you don’t use it as a bunny name, I will at some point.
Rico, Marty or Bonno! These names suit his cuteness!!! He is adorable!!
I’m still voting for Ash! or Han!
Lin, SukiBun posted this link in another thread in Q&A. Thought you might find it useful too. Have you found a name for the baby bun yet?
http://www.altheim.com/bunny/#G
Ah yes was just going to post that link! Thanks for that jerseygirl! It is a huge list!
Yeh so.. I like Hans
I also like Archie, Manny, and Milo
I also love Japanese names, as they are masculine/feminine but also can sound really cute for a pet I almost always name pets a Japenese name, and they always have a lovely meaning….the ones I like are Nobu (Faith) and Mamoru (Protector)
Thank you, I had found that list before when I googled “good bunny names” Everytime I see those coffee names like Latte and Macchiato it makes me cringe though haha. Gah I hate starbucks lol. Starwars was on last night, not sure which one it was – it was with Luke meeting Yoda…do I’m guessing it was the first episode of the good old ones. Harrison Ford was lookin pretty gewd :p Han Solo hmm…
Yea I don’t have a name still lol.
I like Harrison.
How about Amadeus?
Force B. Withu
Sparky
Sir Whiskers McFluffybum. aka Smudge.
I instantly think of two names when I see his picture:
Doodle(s)
and
Turtle
I actually really want to name a dog Turtle in my lifetime. I think it’s an adorable name. Just ignore the fact that it’s also the name of another animal!
Maybe,
Chew
or
Gabe
I’m feeling an Sw- name, like…. Swaze (Like the Patrick Swaze dude, although I actually have no clue who he is.)
Or just Sway, maybe. But that’s an odd rabbit name, coming from the person who just suggested Turtle as a rabbit name. (I’m still 100% behind that name though!)
Okay, I just went and looked up “names starting with sw” and the first link was “artist names starting with sw”
Here is it’s list:
Sway (surprisingly)
Sweeney (like!)
Okay, all the others are really stupid, so nevermind that!
OH OH OH! What about Seymour! I love love love that (and Turtle!!!).
TURTLE OR SEYMOUR!
I also like Sherlock, mentioned in the first suggestion.
I really really really like Sherlock… and Turtle and Seymour….
Sherlock might even be my favorite, not sure though…. so close. They are all such GOOD NAMES *hint hint*.
Sorry, I’m going crazy! I love suggesting names
There is nothing wrong with naming bunnies after other animals.. my bunnies are Monkey and Moose after all

Horray for Japanese names Chacha is short for my bun’s real name ‘Koucha.’ Black Tea
I have a feeling Lintini is going to have a hard time with naming this bun..
I am having a hard time! – he is still shy, but warming up. He comes up to the cage now when it’s snack time when I am off work or back from school, so I am getting to see his personality a little now. Gahhhh I don’t know, these are a lot of cute names to think about!
That has made me go full circle and think of Mozart that you first suggested.
Mozart > Moza > Mosa > Mimosa. As in the “shy” plant.
Okay I’m giving you two greek names that are suitable for such an adorable face
1)Fatsas (fatsa means face in greek and we use it to say “what a cute face”! It’s like we say “baby face”)
2)Boobis or Boobookos (kinda means “baby-boy” used for animals…when we use it for real baby boy it’s Bebis …. the “i” is pronounced like ee (bee))
Oh please peek a greek name!!haha
LOL @ Monkeybun. I was going to add that about you when Turtle came up. I do like Turtle, btw.
Bashful came to mind when shyness was just mentioned, ie. one of the 7 dwarfs.
Seymour is adorable, too.
Patrick Swayze was the star of Dirty Dancing. Several other films, too, including Ghost. He just died of cancer, quite young actually. A beautiful dancer.

Hooray!! Suki = Beloved
I LOVE the name Seymour!!!!!!!! But I still stand with Milo and Archie
Tell us more about his personality, Lin…maybe that will help with the choosing.
Well to elaborate on him being shy, I actually thought he could be deaf because of how he acts when I put my hand in the pen with him. He was so startled of me at times I thought he didn’t hear me coming, so I had thought maybe he was hard of hearing, but after many snaps, kissy noises and such I found out he isn’t and he can hear me. I was scared though that he could be. Not a huge deal if he was. I would just have to deal with him differently than the others – but he’s not so …yay
He loves to binky in the fuzzy bed, and he spins around when he does it. It’s very cute. He is loving romaine lettuce and parsley.
He recognizes the sound of the raisin container’s lid coming off and begs for them at the cage. It’s very cute. It’s weird how outgoing he is for raisins but as soon as I want to pet him he muddles up like I was going to kill him. So right now I am only okay if I have the raisins. I snuggle him everynight when I watch tv before bed, its our time together. I want him to be snuggley unlike miss bumblebutt. I don’t think I am succeeding though. He loves to inspect my bed. It smells like other bunnies and I think he just wants to get away from me. Unless he’s hiding in my hair he’s good.
Indy already likes him, so that’s a good sign. Just need Bee’s approval. Indy likes everyone though, who am I kidding. I should have taken photos of my 80 something year old grandfather laying on the floor playing with Indy and Bee….priceless.
So I didnt help much…baby bunny is shy…but yet cute and so innocent and sweet but so timid. I don’t know!!
What about Dewie ? It’s cute and dorky
Do we have a Dewie on here?
I’m staring at him now trying out names.
I don’t know of any Dewies… that’s a cute name! Bun, Indy, Bee and Dewie!
How about another name that starts with an I, since your two girls have B names? Igor, Ike, Ian, Ignatius, Icarus, Irwin, Ivan…. http://www.weddingvendors.com/baby-names/letter/i/boy/
I had a cat named Ivan… named after Ivan the Terrible. He was a naughty kitty, but oh so adorable. Was a little love bug too.
How about Iggy?
Donovan is a great name.
Obibun obibun obibun obibun kenobi
obibun
*chants*
I guess I’ll try this out on him I keep coming back to it. Dewie McDewlap lol hm
Dewie sounds precious! ^_^
Before you determined that he wasn’t deaf, I was going to suggest Beethoven. lolz….
Do you have a favorite musician you could name him after? Since he’s become a new family member so close to you getting your new french horn?
Gustav Holst is my fav composer. Gustav is such an ugly name… lol
You could name him Holst then
You could just call him Guss-Guss…like the mouse in Cinderella. He’s kind of round like him.
Posted By MimzMum on 05/25/2010 11:34 PM
Since he’s become a new family member so close to you getting your new french horn?
*nods* What about Ricco? Ricco Buhn
We had a ‘tv mascot’ …a puppet, from the 60s through to the 90s called Gus Honeybun (Augustus J Honeybun…or Hunnybun) in my area, it was a regional thing, where they used to have a ‘Magical Birthdays’ kids slot before or after the news, and he was the mascot, and would do bunny hops and ear waggles for the amount of years….Just made me think after seeing the name ‘Gustav’
If you like classic disney movies, I can give you a huge list of names from the movies
I’m obsessed, so I created a list because there are just so many to choose from!!
Here are a few from the list that I think suit him: (Although you should still name him either Seymour, Turtle, or Sherlock )
Pongo (daddy dalmatian to 101)
Rajah or Iago (aladdin, tiger and parrot)
Napoleon (the dogs from arisocats)
Ronno (bambi)
Lumiere (candle holder in beauty and the beast)
Baloo or Mowgli (jungle book, I want to name a pet Mowgli in my lifetime!)
Rafiki, Nuka (lion king, lion king 2)
Mushu (Mulan)
Smee (peter pan)
Figaro and Jiminy(pinocchio)
Meeko (pocahotas)
Add Jiminy to my list, he looks like a Jiminy
Gr. My computer hates me….
I’ve been thinking of those Disney names as well.
Ricco is cute, after my horn.
I do love the Jungle Book, especially bahgheera. Not sure of the spelling atm.
Bay Area News: Today, Al Roker visited a woman with a 40-year-old rabbit named, well, that’s the problem. It seems she couldn’t decide on a name for the little guy, and he’s been waiting ever since. Clearly, he’s refused to give up the ghost until he is called by his real name. “How will St. Peter know me when I get to Heaven?” he was heard to thump out in morse code with his back paw. You can learn a lot of tricks when your 100 in bunny years.
His former roomies, Bee and Indy, simplified matters by just saying “Hey You.”
Hehehehe Pam, that was adorable!
Bagheera I’m 99% sure! I like that name, too. I just didn’t know if you would think he looked like that name would suit him.
Lol Pam.
Yeah Bagheera would fit him if he was black or dark grey. I don’t know why I’m having such a problem naming him.
I’m having a problem naming mine too! Actually she is my first pet ever so I’m not used to call an animal by a name so I guess that’s why I think that none suits her
Ok I think I settled on it.
My boyfriend helped decide, Bagheera. I know he doesn’t look like a black panther but I like the name, Jungle Book is my favorite novel and Disney film, and Bagheera is a really neat character with lots of great personality traits. Plus I love it when he slaps Ka
Best Part!
Kaa: [hypnotizing Mowgli and coiling him up] Please, go to sleep, sleep tight little man-cub, rest in peace… sleep… sleep…
Mowgli: Ba… Bagheera?
[chokes]
Bagheera: Now, it’s no use arguing anymore. No more talk until morning.
Kaa: [laughs] He won’t be here in the morning.
[starts to eat Mowgli]
Bagheera: [almost asleep, but soon notices Kaa about to devour Mowgli] Huh? Oh yes, he will, I… KAA! HOLD IT, KAA!
[smacks Kaa in the face]
*pops open the champagne* Happy naming day Bagheera!
lol@RabbitPam hehe
He was just sleeping on my chest with my sweater zipped up. It kept him huddled up to me like a little baby! His 2 ears were flopped out – so cute!
Thanks <3
Woo champagne!
..pics plz.
*poke*
Lintini, I like the new siggy. But I can’t decide if Bagheera looks more like a rapper or Victoria Beckham! btw, I found a webby named bagheera.com for endangered animals. Kinda cool I thought. Your Bagheera can be an ambassador.
Thanks , my boyfriend made it for me. I love how he found the actual Indiana Jones font! That is cool I will have to check out the website. I know I didn’t know if I wanted to put his sunglasses picture in but I thought it was so cute I had too. Aviator glasses are pretty tough lookin :p I will take pictures soon I promise. I need to take tons more before he’s not a baby anymore!!
