Once you get the measurements you want to use I can help you. I just had one built that is pretty much like that except it's 3 stories and just an open ramp. Too bad Mikebun isn't around anymore, he is the one who built it for me. |

Hm, I'm not sure if I would be able to do it myself, I'm not very handy lol... Maybe if it is fairly simple to build I could give it a go. Or I will have to find someone who can do it for me. Could anyone give me an idea of what materials were used? It looks like the cage/floors are stained. Is this safe? Also, do you think the size of cage in the photo would be big enough for 2 bunnies that are around 4-5lb? |

You would use plywood for the floors, and 1''x4'' for the trim - or something like that to your liking.
You would also need
screws
wire
wire nails (they looks like big staples)
hinges
latches
door corner braces
wheels (if wanted)
For tools you will need a drill and screw driver. I found that if we didn't dril our holes first, the wood split. So you gotta drill it first. You will also need a a skill-saw to cut the wood - that would be easiest
I personally didn't stain mine, I don't think it's safe and mine do chew on it so what's the point in trying to make it nice when it's going to be arranged to perfection by a bunny anyways
This is my cage that my friend and I built.

Thanks for all the info Lintini! What did you use to cover your floors? Looks like linoleum from the pics? |

Hers are also in the cool habitats section photo gallery. Sorry yes, the one material I didn't list - Linoleum! I also bought the sea grass mats to cover the floor for them to get more traction and replaced the towels with them. |

Ohh I really like both of these setups! Thank you for the pics! Do you guys remember the approximate cost of all the materials that went into these? I probably wouldn't do the 3 level, just 2 level. Also, was there a specific type of wire you used? I know certain types aren't strong enough for bunny teeth |

we already had some of the supplies like, some wood, and linoluim. so it wasn't as much. if you didn't pay someone to do it and only did two story's i would say it would cost under $200! |

my cages dimensions are 6' tall, 4' wide, and 2' deep. It cost me 200$ on the dot. Also you can see my back panel is wood, so if you did all wire, and only did 2 stories you would definitely be under 200$ The wire was just standard wire they sold at the store. |
