        Hi I was looking at the Binky Bunny store as I often do and I was looking at the litter boxes and grids Binky bunny has on there, they are like mesh wire that goes on top of the litter in the litter boxes.

        Well I was thinking of getting one but I am not sure if one box would be big enough for both my bunnies. My litter box diemnsions are 23.9″X15.9″ X 8.7″ and her litter box measures 18.5″ x 15.3″ x 5.3″

        It is about 5 and a half inches less lengwise And I only ever have one litter box so I need both my bunnies to fit into it, I don’t really want it to be a squeeze either.

        Also if it is big enough then does this prevent litter from being tracked around even though it is flush against the litter.

        Has anyone bought this? I am just unsure if I want it because of the above reasons, I like my litter box now but to tell you the truth the grate gets very dirty and is hard to clean because it is made of that lighting diffuser stuff.

        Oh and apolagise if I am not allowed to post something like this in the forums, I know there is rules against advertizing stuff in the forums but this is not advertizing, it is just asking a question about a product.

          I can’t really say anything about the litter boxes but I did buy the mesh grids. My litter box that the two go into is pretty big and I bought the largest grid for that but it doesn’t cover the entire box. What I do is I place it where they poop the most. They hardly poop in the front since all the extra hay goes in the front so I put the mesh towards the back. I’m not sure about tracking the litter…mine never really tracked it out of their box in the first place (I use wood stove pellets). It works wonders though, instead of cleaning out a litter box twice a week and wasting a lot, I only clean it out once a week! Every night I dump out the grid and I got a scooper to scoop out the “dust” from the pee. Archie and Gracie have no problems with the grids…I do however have to put a sprinkling of hay on Sandy’s because she’ll see it and throw it out, she still has to get used to it. Hope I helped a little.

            You might want to email BB and ask her.

              Or BB, if you’re reading this, please reply with descriptions of how these can be used. Maybe with some pix of Vivian and Jack in action?
              I’d really find that helpful as well, rather than a private email reply. thanks.

                Thanks skibunny, that does help a bit. And I’ll e-mail her and then ask her to post it on here so everyone can see it.

                  We actually have these boxes in our stores up here and they are very nice. I was glad to see them at BB.com also.
                  Compact, smooth sides, mine have notches in the underside all the way around that need to be cleaned and dried well, but it’s not difficult. My buns don’t seem to be tearing into them like they did their former boxes. Those look like they’ve been attacked by a rabid can opener. 0_o;
                  Don’t know about the grids though. I don’t use any simply because I have enough mess to clean up with my three…don’t need to make more work for myself But that’s my preference. Since I empty and refill their pans twice a day, they don’t have time to become too full of content, so no muss, no fuss for the bunnies.

                    Oh wow thanks for mentioning about those…I could really use the boxes with screen because Bee has taken to digging and flinging wood pellets and poo all over. I didn’t know BB had those! Woot!

                      Yea having a grid really does help with the digging, I have a box with a grid but it is made out of lighting diffuser so it is hard to clean and it is white so it never looks completely clean!
