Those are really nice outdoor bunny playgrounds.
It would be very hard for a bird to get in, as you cover them with a tarp — but then again, I guess, any birds would have to deal with Edward, too. You have cool cats.

edit: just saw your bunny photos. so cute. –Good job on the bottom of your pens, too, how you put the wire down flat on the ground. You really put in an effort.

well, I would love a pen like yours, and with cat. My dogs are good ‘scarecrows’ but they take up too much room in a pen.
Do your rabbits use a litterbox outside? I noticed there is one there.

i have them in there so there litter habits wont go down, but i don’t really care if they don’t use them. i have a question: is agility for bunnys bad? cuz i had a bored under mochas hutch so they didn’t bight each other through the cage but some of it stuck out and lulu would dash through her tube and jump over the board then dash through the tube and jump over the the board, she would do that over and over again and she loved it! so i thought agility might be fun for her.

**sorry to butt in** petzy, do your dogs get along with your buns? i want to take lemony with me when i go back east to my parent’s house for a few days, but am nervous about how he will react to my parents’ four dogs… They are really sweet dogs, not at all aggressive, but I guess it’s hard to predict.

mocha, i wouldn’t think that the continuous jumping and running and dashing would be back for your Lulu. it sounds fun!

Lulu might love agility then! That is really funny she would do it over and over just for sport. Agility of course is very good for bunnies, too. Maybe some members on here might have experience with training a rabbit for agility. I have not done it.

lemonbun, dogs can get along with rabbits but it takes patience because there is a high risk of injury, so you have to set up meetings where the dogs are under control completely. With four dogs, you would need to train each individual one to be safe with the rabbit separately.  If your parents’ dogs are not aggressive to begin with you will have it easier socializing  them with your rabbit. Also, it depends on the rabbit’s comfort level. If your rabbit is very much afraid you have to go at an extra slow pace with the introductions. It took me a few months but my two dogs are rabbit-gentle now. I trust them with my rabbits but you have to know your dogs very well.  Think about it though, many dogs learn to guard sheep and lambs when other dogs would tear them apart. It depends on the animals involved and the training.

Thanks for the advice, Petzy. The two mini daschunds I am not so worried about – the old lady will just ignore him, and the baby will try and groom him and clean his ears (he’s a strange one). The wheaten terrier should be ok as well – she’s the oldest, and the gentlest. It’s the springer spaniel I’m concerned about… But lots of supervision, training each dog separately, feeling out Lemony’s reaction, etc. These are all really good things that I will put to use and keep in mind.

By the way, that is an absolutely beautiful dog. I love his coloring.
