I think they gave me another Sophie at the vet when they spayed her She’s Miss Destructo bunny lately! I wanted to ask you guys if the spaying can have an adverse effect? Like instead of “calming” her down which she didn’t need at all cause she never behaved badly lol before the spaying, can it make her Sophzilla? I don’t know what’s going on with her, last night and this morning I found her ON my bedside table the table is not even beside my bed, she climbed my giant Eeyore plush and got on it and threw everything down. Then she started breaking my box where I keep my Lush soaps and stuff, then she broke some of my scrapbook paper and pictures and when I moved the Eeyore next to the organ, she jumped on the Eeyore and then on the organ! I’m used to leaving everything around cause she never broke anything before, but now I have to move everything up so she doesn’t get it  And she’s eating a LOT, she always wants more of everything. Is it the season maybe? She’s eating lots of hay, lots of lettuce and carrot tops, and every time I give bring her her pellets she grunts like a maniac O_O and she bit me 3 times today already (not horrible but like nips). And she’s been biting since her spay. And grunting a lot lot lot. She’s super active now, before she was active but she relaxed a lot more on her blankies and slept and let me pet her a lot.
Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not complanining I love her and even when I saw all my broken stuff I laughed cause she puts that innocent face like she didn’t do anything wrong lol I just wanna know why the sudden change Has this happened to you?

When my guy came back from his neuter he was bouncing off the walls. I have no idea why!

I’ve also read a lot of posts of people who get their girls spayed, then the girls turn into monsters for a few weeks. Maybe it’s in retaliation for the surgery 😉

I didn’t get Lainey until after she was already spayed, but you just explained her!  Maybe she was docile previously as well?!  I have also been wondering about the eating…both Gulliver & Lainey have been pigging out lately…I am making more & more trips to the product market.  Good luck with bunny-proofing – we’ve had our bunz for 2 years now and Lainey STILL finds more to attempt to destroy !

Do you think it is because it is spring?

She probably has the worst case of PMS EVER with her fluctuating hormone levels.  That plus spring would make sense

Same thing happened w/Buster. She was grunting, lunging, etc. at me for weeks after her spay. It has now been exactly one month, and she’s calmed down! I’m also talking to her REALLY nicely like someone suggested in my thread

Karl turned into the Bunny from Hell after he was neutered. It did thankfully pass once his hormones settled

Other than that, mine are completely acting up again these days, so Spring might a cause as well as someone mentioned. They are everywhere, chewing everything and just completely out of it. My only female is in particular horrible these days

                        *performs thread necromancy*

What a relief! Sweetie-Belle was spayed Tuesday and she’s been very… (*thinks of the most polite way to put this*) a little b****. So other bunny-slaves out there can attest that she’ll hopefully become sane again after her hormones die down in a few weeks?

                        Hopefully?

                        Maybe?

/Just kidding. Love her. Even when she’s grumpy.
