Please help me to stop the killing of thousands of seals this year in Canada. They started hunting on 3/29 to kill 380,000 seals!  You can make the pledge here if you are willing to help!

did you hear about that boat that's basically a pirate ship and goes around damaging sealing vessels? Their ship got impounded by the court last year but maybe they've gotten it back.

they'd be better off if they created some sort of sonar that scares seals away and just followed the boats around. that's relatively legal, at least.

Usually hunting of seals takes place on solid land. I think you're thinking of the crew who stop the hunting of whales -Whale Wars ship of the Steve Irwin. Bob Barker supposedly bought the captain of that ship a new ship to use as well.

The hunting of seals is barbaric and I can't believe that Canada condones such a practice. If you've ever watched the very heartbreaking videos (there are some on Peta's website), it's terrible because they are so cruel about the whole process. The fisherman claim that if the seals are not killed they will eat all the fish but it's probably more about the money they make from the seals. I've signed numerous petitions to end it. Let them eat the dang fish!!!
