  I was in the pet shop today and there was a bunny being boarded in there while the owners where away for easter. Anyway i was walking around with him in my arms like a baby on his back snoring away. He was just the MOST amazing friendly rabbit you could ask for. Anyway just playing with him till his mum gets home when the owner of the store said that when she dropped him off that they where thinking about giving him up and they will decide after easter. I said that if they are going to do that then I would take him so she took all my details and said she would pass them on. Part of me hopes that I can have him but the other part is sad that they just want to give him up, however he is VERY matted and needs a good bath and a groom and that was how he came in which annoys me! I might go back and groom him on Saturday morning just to make him feel better and since he is harness trained then I might take him for a walk.

  aww the poor baby! i’d go visit him too, sounds like he needs some loves.

  His back legs are very matted and very stained so going to take my grooming gear in and fix him all up on Saturday morning. What is really annoying is that he LOVE attention and LOVE lying on his back so there is even less of en excuse for this to happen. What really really sucks is that there is no way that this is just a days build up more like months to get that matted, i range from sad to angry!

  Awww he sounds adorable Were you able to groom him? Bless his heart, being that matted must be uncomfy.

  He was a darl with grooming! He just lay there as I slowly removed all the matts. I had to cut some off and trimmed up his nails. It took about 2 hours to finally get him closer to acceptable but still I think needs to have part of his body shaved. The more I groomed the more I hoped that they do want to give him up as this is horrible for him to have to live with this!

  Ok so looks like Sir Humps alot (and yes that is his name) is coming to my house. The pet shop said that they took him home today and they had already lined up a petting zoo mobile farm thing to take him but they farm said that they had to pay to have him snipped and they where trying to put the money together. now he would be a friendly bunny for this but i still think this is no life for a single bunny. So i said that I would take him and pay for everything and bond him to my two and he can live out his life with mine and they liked that and said that they would drop him off at the pet shop when they where ready to re home him.
  
  I spoke to the vet, we will do an inital consult and decide at that if we what we need to do to prep him for the big snip (he might have to wait a month as their new cage drained me dry cash wise). Also will see about what he needs grooming wise. I have been reading all the bonding stuff like mad and keep freaking myself out!

  Will you change his name? Rumballs former name was Sir Hops-alot. Similar but oh so different. Kinda glad about that!

  Ok here is a picture of him when I last went to the store and we had cuddles. Yes I will be changing his name and as soon as he is over his surgery then I will start trying to bond him with my two. Outside of the humping thing he is really laid back. Hope the picture works I am at work do doing this a differnt way then normal.

  Thanks guys. I am still not 100% sure he is coming this way but I do hope. I am checking with the pet shop tomorrow and going to see if they got him back in. But everything I have heard he is coming to me but untill he is in my hot little hands i am not going to count my rabbits just yet but oh I want him!

  No seems that they have to give him up as they are moving house but they don’t want to give him up so it’s now a waiting game. They have said that they are happy for me to have him but I never count my bunnies till they are home at my place.

  Ok I got the call yesterday, sir humps alot will be dropped off at the pet shop sometime this week and I can then go in and pick him up! Will post more pictures etc… when I have a chance, now the pressure is on to finish the other rabbit hutch and move it inside!

  I am running out of time! Litterally tomorrow night I have to clean out a cabinet and get everything moved. If push comes to shove them i guess he can go in the travel cage but that also needs cleaning from the last trip! Oh things to do things to do!

  Well Sir Humps Alot came today. I had sort of given up hope that anything was going to happen but then I got a call and he got dropped off today at lunch. I set him up in the travel cage as not sure how good his litter habbits are. I gave him a much needed nail clip and i am going to have to take pictures of his backside and get advice as to how to clean it and go from them but he is home!

  So am I, now I just have to get him desexed and try and bond him with both of mine! Also came back from Geelong with 5 other rabbits but managed to rehome most of them and one went to a no kill shelter! Big rabbit weekend for me!
