I feel kind of bad posting here, because I didn't end up getting a rescue bunny.    I went to the local feed store today and fell for the old lonely, single bunny in the bin.  She was so sweet!  She hopped right up to my hand and wanted to be petted.  Then she let me pick her up and she fits perfectly in my hand.  I tried not to buy her, but I ended up going back to the store after 3 hours and I took her home with me.

Her personality is really coming out now and she eats a TON for such a tiny bunny!

She's adorable! What did you name her? She sounds like she has a sweet temperament. Congratulations on acquiring such a wonderful pet! I can see how you couldn't resist her. I'm so glad you found each other. I wish you both a happy, fun fulfilled life together. Thanks for posting the wonderful pix - she sure is beautiful!

Oh, don't feel bad. Sometimes the bunny finds you instead of the other way round. I can see why you couldn't resist! And yes, have you given her a name? By the way, don't rely just on the feed stores opinion on the sex of the bunny.

What a beauty, not sure I could have resisted either!!

My first bun, Monkey, was from a breeder, so don't feel bad... I couldn't resist her round little face... *snuggle*

Chances are pretty good that she'd need to be rescued later if someone else bought her at a feed store...so maybe you could just think of it as early intervention.

Very cute! I have a soft spot for agoutis! ...and white bunnies, and black bunnies, and big bunnies and lionhead mix bunnies....

Thanks guys!

I haven't named her yet.  I want to name her something kind of uni-sex, just in case she turns out to be a he.   The workers at the feed store weren't sure how old she was or what kind of "mixed breed rabbit" she might be, so she could easily have been mis-sexed.

She is so super cute!  Right now she is sleeping with her legs stretched way out behind her.

Awwww she just figured out how to get up onto her little shelf!
I'm really curious to see how big she ends up getting. Right now she weighs 1lb 4oz.

She is so cute -- Congratulations!!  My first bunny, Rumple, was at the reptile store.  Big scary tattoo guy was walking around with a tiny grey bunny.  I said, "I guess that's going to be somebody's lunch?" and he replied, "I guess that depends on who buys her."  Do I have "Sap" written across my forehead or something?!   So I bought her at a "feed store", too, but it was a definite rescue.  Like someone else said, more than likely some kid would have begged for the cute wittle bunny and she probably would have ended up in a shelter anyway.  Again, congratulations and she has eyes and head shape just like my Rumple who ended up 12-14 lbs of snuggle bun!
