I LOVE flavored croutons. Mmmm & turkey, eggs, ranch dressing, onions, pears, & tons of other stuff. I really like fruit salads to. I’ve been craving a chef salad all day lol.

No bunny of my own yet. But my neighbors bunny-Lilly- really loves her lettuce.

fruit salad is the only kind of salad I really enjoy. I’ll eat a garden salad if i have to, but im not really a salad person. I hate salad dressing of any kind, only use oil and vinegar on mine. besides, Monkey would get mad at me for eating her dinner if I ate more salads….

Monkey and Moose both love their romaine, cilantro, parsley, basil, mint, and now dill… and of course carrot and dried papaya. and raisins. Monkey would eat raisins with anything.

I suppose, this is your answer to the meat discussion. –I prefer salad anyways.

I love Boston lettuce with whipped cream dressing and mandarin slices, or radicchio & spinach salad with walnut halves.

I absolutely hate store-bought dressings, though.

My rabbits love sugar snap peas more than anything. Those are always the first thing to be snatched out of the salad I make for them. Closely followed by dandelions and then carrots.

I really like walnuts on salads – perferably with some type of fruit, maybe pear or craisins. It’s funny, because I can generally take or leave nuts, but I like them on salads.

                  Goat cheese is awesome!

                  Croutons are always good.

I like most kinds of dressing – creamy, vinegarette, doesn’t matter to me. Homemade dressings are always the best though! I almost never make them at home because I don’t make many salads, but I do love when restaurants make their own.

                  Otto doesn’t like salad fixin’s. He’s a plain lettuce kinda guy 😉

I love salads! I haven’t done salads in awhile though but I like salads that are more fixin’s than greens. I love nuts in salads (all kinds), hard boiled eggs, beets, artichoke hearts, artichokes, baby corn, olives (black and green), cheese (most any kind thank you), croutons, peppers (red, yellow or orange, don’t like the green ones), shredded carrots. I’d love to try some salads with quinoa and other grains too. I also like things like Salad Nicoise and potato salads. Don’t like spinach salad though.

My buns like cilantro, baby lettuces, romaine, mint, dill, basil, parsley, carrots. They don’t like spinach either.

Sounds like a good trade Petzy!

I did see a spinach salad on Rachel Ray the other day that did look pretty good – she used mushrooms and some lemon juice and some other stuff, have to find that recipe and she used baby spinach. That might be a spinach salad I could like.

I LOVE bitter or spicy tasting salad. Fruit salad and tofu salad are tasty too.
Mr. Bunny’s favorite greens are radish greens, broccoli and green leaf lettuce.

Ooo, I love spinach too! Though I also love cheese, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to trade anyone. 😛

I also love the spicy salads like arugula. I love the fruit salads too.

Elrohwen, what things don’t you like? You like meat, milk, cheese, beer, wine, chocolates, spinach and cheese…. you are an obligate omnivore. LOL!

I love cheese shreds on my salads. And corn. And black olives. And beets (yum!). Garbanzo beans are a must!
I used to adore heavy dressings like blue cheese or ranch…but now I prefer vinaigrettes. I actually just used a rasberry vinaigrette on a whole chicken the other day and it made and excellent marianade.

                                    Salad Nicoise…mmmm!
I like thai salads too, with crunchy noodles. I like most salads. I just don’t like making them so don’t have them too often.

I’ve been wanting to try a spinach salad recipe for a while. Baby spinach, strawberries and balsamic vinegar.

Forgot to add that my bunnies just like green leaf lettuce. They will on occasion eat the baby romaine, but if I switch up the menu too often, they get confused and don’t really enjoy the food. Also we do like a little red leaf, but it can give them gas, so not often. I usually wind up finishing the head off myself. (boy that sounded weird)
Carrots sliced/diced thin are always welcome.

Dandelion leaves make EXCELLENT salad greens, bunny or human. And pine nuts…gotta have those.

Did anyone say roma tomatoes? I didn’t see it. *looks again*

You know the other lettuce we all like is the baby butter. For some reason we don’t find it too often though. I’m with you, Jerz, for as much as I feed greens to my bunnies and take the time to do that, I just don’t bother with it for myself. >.<

*sigh* I miss the vegetable garden we had when I was younger. It’s hard to grow stuff with only three months of sunshine. You have to sprout everything two months before planting time.
