My dad took in the box that was sitting on the front porch of the house! I got the Star Basket and Mini Maze Haven. I haven't set up the Haven yet.. I'm really tired from working all week  but nonetheless, I will set it up tomorrow, so Chacha can play in it

I got March's Gift and put it inside of the Star Basket!

Nom NOM NOM NOM NOM

My dad and I both saw Chacha drag out a clump of the hay and eat it

Upclose shot of baby bunny! She'll be 4 months on the 24th!

Such a relaxer!

Nibbling on my work pants .. because she can.. because she can get away with it because she knows she is absolutely adorable and her magic works on me

She is a dwarf rabbit.. she is quite big for a dwarf, lol. She is expected to be about 3 pounds. Her mommy was about that size.

Yeah.

There are some Nethies that get bigger than the 1.5 - 2 pounds :o

Breeders prefer tiny Nethies, actually :/

Monkey is small for breed standards, she was the runt of her litter,a nd has topped out at 1.5 pounds. 2-3lbs are actually breed standards, but people have taken to showing the smaller ones.. I suspect your baby Chacha is a mix, with her big ears. Perhaps her daddy isn't who the breeder thought

LOL perhaps

We shall see as she gets older

I noticed her coloring has changed recently. The brown behind her ears is growing more... and there is a patch of light black (???) on her forehead O.o!!

I noticed Moose had some of his fur change too, as he;s gotten older. Like he's outgrowing his baby coloring. He used to have a patch of brown on his rear, and its gone now. I guess its kind of similar to us humans in a way. When I was little I had white blonde hair, it started darkening as I got closer to my early teens.

Interesting! I am curious to what Chacha's fur will look like as she gets older..

Just turned out the lights for the night to go to bed... Chacha is clawing and biting at her grass mat inside of her cage She thinks its fun to make noise while I am about to go to bed

She looks very happy and is very adorable.
I have several pairs of pants with little tiny holes "and Spockie did this one...and Sammy tasted these...."

MB is right about people saying they are dwarfs when they are clueless. Not breeders of course. But Sammy came from a tiny, privately owned pet store that my vet knew, and if she's a dwarf anything, I'm Snow White.

She's beautiful and seems very much in control of her kingdom ;-) It is fun to watch them get new toys, especially from BB!

SKI - Wow.. what a pretty breed!!

The breeder that I got her from specializes in Netherland Dwarfs and a small bit of Mini Lops.

Chacha's sister, Eva is extremely tiny compared to my bunny. She has tiny tiny ears and completely black body. Both parents are Black Otters as well.

I'm putting together the Maze Haven as we speak! I'm eating lunch while doing bunstruction

[EDIT] In addtion, BUNNIES ARE SO HARD TO PHOTOGRAPH!! I have to take lotsa pictures to get good shots that aren't blurry!!

hmm.. beware the "dwarf" claims. i was told MJ was a dwarf when i got him and he's totally not. he's around 5 lbs now. of course, they had no idea he was a lionhead lop either, so i never really believed them.

chacha's so pretty! glad she likes her stuff.

With breeders not all rabbits meet the breed standard.  Some nethies are bigger than they are supposed to be too.  So maybe thats what happened and why the ears look bigger for a nethie

She is a pretty otter colored girl.   She looks so feminine and comfy with her little front paws out there together like that.  I love nethies.  Lionheads  angoras

Heck just about any bunny actually

I like the star shaped basket too but it would have a life expectancy of about 30 minutes in my rabbits' pen.

he is indeed a nethie chacha's ears are a bit bigger than max's, his are about 1.5-2 inches. he weighs 2.5 pounds.
in case you were wondering, the coloring is called black otter, not silver martin (which is what i originally though). chacha & max have a brown piece behind their heads, while silver martin's have a white piece
