So the first night that Mimzy had his Pen-G shots (about January 29) we spilled enough on him that I couldn't get it washed out and decided to trim some fur off his back to be sure he didn't ingest any of the medicine. I trimmed down to the soft white undercoat in some spots. Here's a pic.

So that's a little over a month ago. And it still looks like it hasn't grown back. How much longer do you think it will take before this spot looks normal again?

Mimzy, Pip & Fiver...yup...my day is all about them. :)

Difficult to say. When I plucked Jack a little bit too much and he looked like Mimzy on that picture, it took a month. However, the vet trimmed the hair on his ear about 5 months ago and that has still not grown out. When Molly had a bald spot (due to some feisty lovemaking on Karl's part), it took about two months.

I don't really have any suggestions on what you might do to make the hair grow faster. Don't know if veggies with a high level of vitamin B might help?

Took Monkey a couple months to grow back the fur when she got spayed.

Total guess here, but it may relate to when they shed. In other words, when the next shed comes, the new fur will start growing all over, and it might not fill in until then. Make sense?

I agree with that. I was going to write it, but the words just didn't want to come out in English haha. Anyways, that's what I experienced with Molly's bold spot...it wasn't until she started shedding that her fur started growing.

Hogeeze...that might be awhile then. I think he just had a big shed.
I feel terrible, it looks so nasty. >.< If I'd known the medicine was all gone when I washed it off him, I wouldn't have cut it down so far.

It doesn't look nasty.

Pull his ear back to cover it. Mimzy can have a comb over.
