My Bun keeps peeing on the couch! What is with that? she never messes anywhere else!

She's done it like 5 times now! I don't want to ban her from being up on the couch with us but if she keeps this up I may have to. It's gross! Anybody else have this issue? She's an unfixed female (for the moment) maybe its a territorial thing?

On a different note she's really starting to come out of her shell now, she's begun trying to get into trouble by stealing our stuff (like my mail) and will sit and eat it  and will actually run away with it when she sees me coming but if she had nowhere to run we have a tug-o-war game

Is she spayed yet? Spaying could help with the marking. She's likely peeing on the couch as it smells strongly of her humans, rather than her. She's trying to make it Hers. Clean up the spots with a 50/50 water/vinegar mix and that will remove the pee scents, and hopefully make her stop marking it.

Monkey marked my hubby's side of the couch all the time, until she got spayed

It will probably stop once you spay her. It's what everyone told me when I was having pee'ing issues on my bed - and they were right! It stopped as soon as he was neutered!

I would limit her access to the couch for now. After she's spayed you can reintroduce her to the area, possibly with a blanket over the top just in case.

She's attempting to remove his scent with her own. Basically telling him that he's not welcomed in the house because you are hers and he's not allowed to have you.

My bonding quest with Maryann - Read about a less than easy bonding with two buns - but they did bond!

I'm totally shocked! I always thought she liked him more than me. She always follows him around the house, I thought it was because she liked being around him more but maybe its because she just wants to keep an eye on him! =P

Gizmo had her pee on the couch phase, once that was over and she finally went back to her area to go to the litter box instead she decided it was more fun to dig on it!

leaving giant holes in our loveseat and pulling the fluff out..

maybe banning the couch unless someone is there isn't such a bad idea.. haha
