That lady I know who kept asking me to cut her bunnies nails. Well I made it over there yesterday. She is so sweet. She is from Saudi.
Now she wants to find a home for it. The kids carry it and handle it too much. Now the rabbit bites them. WEll I can’t take it. So I took pics of her and we agreed about posting it online. She was very concerned about it not going to free to be snake food. That is so kind and knowledgeable. Most people could care less.
Well I had her in my lap petting her and gave her a treat after I trimmed her nails. The youngest boy about 7 or 8 came in took the treat shoved it on to her nose and mouth and she got all upset lunged at him etc. I asked him now why did you have to come and do that.
:HE went away . Brownie still refused to eat her treat after that. I put her on the table. The boy came back. HE then tried shoving a peanut on her nose and mouth. Brownie lunged at him and he put his hand like he was going to grab her face. She lunged again and he jerked back. I was glad to see him jerk back. His mom reprimanded him and he went to play with his brothers.
It is too late for Brownie to learn to trust the kids even if the mother shows them how to pet her etc. I feel so sad for her. OH I wanted to take her but I can’t. I would have to return Pandalion and I am not doing that Pandalion is already used to being here.
The bunny is a chestnut dutch with some gray on her face. Pretty little thing I don’t think she weight 3.lb 4 oz. She is well fed.
I haven’t had a chance to put her ad in today. I downloaded the pics and am ready to put her in tomorrow. I told my friend I would screen them and if they seemed suitable I will send them to her #
She asks that the bunny goes to a home without children. I totally agree I will put she has been mishandled by children but is ok with adults and some patience will be required with her at first.
Seh was good iwth the 12 year old daughter of the neighbor. She was good with me. She sat on my lap while I took her paw and trimmed her nails. Never flenched. She is kept on the screened in patio and in the house when weather is not suitable for her to be outside.
The sliding door was open and Brownie wanted down so I put her on the floor. She raced into the house she knew her way around in the hosue she ran and hid then ran and hid. She ran into the garage and the door was open then she ran back inside. I kind of worry about that. The lady did too. She is a sweet bunny. She may take a while to get used to being handled correctly.
Hey can any one help me with the ad. I don’t want to discourage people from seeing her. or considering her. She will be a nice bunny to have once she can be settled and not worry about kids and their hands all over her. I saw her stretch out on the table relaxed when the kids were all outside. When the middle one came in she jumped up and stressed out watching him and lunged at him. She never lunged at me or the 12 year old. She knew what to do with animals and has 3 ferrets a dog and a cat. She wants the rabbit. I doubt her Mom will agree. I told her ferrets kill rabbits and he is concerned the dog would too.
I feel so bad for this bunny.
