Just my sincerest condolences to Sarita, who had done so much to give her Maxine the best care. She is now over the bridge, and Sarita, if you don't mind my sharing, Sarita said Maxine is having a tea party with Giselle and others.

Oh my God! Poor Sarita, to lose Maxine so soon after the others. I know you give your heart to the older buns that have problems and it would be so hard to let them go. You are such a kind soul, all my prayers and hugs to you and all your buns, here or over the bridge. Jim has one more to watch play now. Binky free, Maxine |

Sarita, my thoughts are with you at this time. You gave her such outstanding care, trying different things to allow her to be more comfortable. *Maxine, now free of pain, Binky to your heart's content!* |

I tend to avoid this part of the forum 'cause it is always so hard to read the posts. I'm sorry for your loss, Sarita. Binky free Maxine - I hope Giselle is happy to see you and you are having a good time together on the other side. |

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I had to make a very hard decision to send Ms. Maxine to the bridge but my vet assured me that it was the kindest thing to do since she was not improving nor would she. It was hard making this decision when my heart said no but my head said yes. Having my vet, who is very compassionate, look at her situation in a clinical way which I cannot do helped me decide it was definitely the right thing to do. I've had to make this decision quite a few times in the past and those situations were always pretty obvious that there was not going to be improvement but this one wasn't as much for me so I struggled with it and having Giselle unexpectedly pass away last week made it much more difficult to make as well. I guess it made me more selfish as I was already sad from Giselle. Maxine was a very special rabbit and I will miss her alot. I do hope she is having that tea party with Giselle and Twizzler and they are welcoming her. Kathy, I'm glad Jim is there to watch my rabbits as well :~) It's nice knowing they are in caring hands with him. |

Hugs to you Sarita. I know this has been such a difficult time. Your bunnies are so loved and so I know that trying to make this decision was heart-breaking. Maxine is free now from her ailments -- ready to binky free! I know it still hurts though, so peace vibes to you. |
