I'm a little bit late to the update... but I agree, it sounds like your vet is on top of things and is being overly cautious, which is great! Spaying is hard on girl's even tho it is technically a routine surgery, it's invasive, so it isn't uncommon for them to not want to eat or move around for 24-48 hours post-surgery. As far as the pinworms, I don't have experience with that. Is the vet giving you a script for that?

She's home and grooming in her cage and ate a bunch of her parsley & drinking water! I'm going to try to clean her eyes a bit.  They sent me home w/metacam and pinworm meds that I don't need to give her for 2 weeks.  She said giver her metacam once a day 3-5 days and keep her in the cage for 3 days.  Tuesday, I have to go back to work though. Hope she's ok.

Glad she's better! I once rescued a rabbit from a shelter who had pinworms - I think we did panacur for that and it took care of it - you will have to go back for a stool recheck though to confirm the pinworms are gone.

Vet said I wouldn't have to go for a recheck...she will be fine after that. I found it strange but I guess it will help!

Interesting...I guess it depends on the vet then. I would want to do a fecal however just to be sure and you can probably just drop off a fecal for a test.

Sorry to take so long to catch up, but she sounds like she's well on her way to a full recovery. At least the vet checked again and found the pinworms.
You're over the worst of it now, and she'll be a binky bunny in no time.

Thanks everyone...i love you guys
Have only seen just a couple of poops so far and not really moving. She is grooming a lot and ate hay, pellets, veggies and pineapple. She only ate the hay when I put it in front of her though. She doesn't really move.
She's going to sleep in our bedroom tonight.

Wow she is eating good already?  It usually takes them a few days to get the pellets in.   They  usually start with vegies and treats  then hay then pellets.

Sounds like she is doing good. Glad she is back home.  i know you both are too

WOW What a bumpy ride! I think you did great-I would have been beside myself The eye ointment freaked me out too with Kahlua's spay-I was like 'WOW She must be in such pain-her eyes are watering!' -wish I'd known about that then-I didn't even think to ask! But sounds like she's doing beutifully for all she went through

She's still got a little rattiness around her eyes, but I am trying to brush/clean it out. It's getting better.
So she plopped on her side twice today...i know that's usually a good thing, but the one she did today was weird. She was almost on her back and her front paws up in the air....and was there for a minute or two. The vet just happened to call me right after and I told her, and she didn't think it was anything to worry about.....It was weird though. I think she's def. still in pain. My poor baby. She wouldn't take the metacam from me w/the syringe, so I put it in apple sauce and she liked that. That metacam stuff is a bit stinky! I also had off today, so had her on my lap on the couch for 10 minutes while she was in her soft bed. I think she was comfy while I pet her head

I have to go to work tomorrow, and I'm sad to leave her alone. I can't take off again.

She'll be alright today. Those first 24-48 hours is when you have to be the most cautious. She's eating tho so I wouldn't worry. And as she starts to feel better, she'll clean her eyes up herself too.
