so now that the weather is nice again (no more cold rain), my boyfriend and i bunny-proofed the yard and let the bunmonster run wild! he was a little hesistant to go outside at first, but i created a trail of greens going outside and he finally ventured out there. he was cautious at first but soon went absolutely NUTS. he loved it.

please excuse our indreibly redneck-looking back yard. the weather has been nasty and we haven’t taken very good care of it over the winter. the big blue tarp was to cover the bbq pit (in case you were curious).

i know 3 videos is kind of a lot, but it’s totally worth it. crazy zooms and binkies in all of them.

enjoy and let me know what ya think!

            Hehe, these made me smile

Leroy wants me to add that he does NOT, repeat does NOT, enjoy the great outdoors. (Lol, I took him out once this past fall in my parents huge back yard and the poor thing was so overwhelmed he just sat there frozen).

awwww! poor leroy. i thought for sure MJ would do the same thing because he’s usually such a scaredy bun, but to my great surprise he did wonderfully! if only he were so outgoing indoors…

lol he’s adorable! I love how he’s camo-bun in the leaves

And don’t feel bad about the yard, no one wants to do yard work in the winter, thats for sure! Unless they are crazy or my mom.

oh i know, monkey! when he first got out there i started laughing because he blended in so well with the pine straw and leaves! he blended in so well that the neighbor’s dog barely even noticed him.

i just wanted to add that after his 2nd day outdoors, MJ is a totally different rabbit. he is so much more friendly and sociable in the house. he doesn’t seem depressed anymore.

i can’t believe i didn’t bring him out there earlier! he’s so happy now. =D

Aww, so cute! He looks like a little Ewok. Or a Jim Henson character 😛

And that’s really great that he’s happier! Maybe a nice run through the leaves was just what he needed 🙂

                                he IS a lionhead lop!

and you’re right elrohwen, he does look like an ewok. he definitely doesn’t look like a bunny. he’s hilarious, though. i didn’t know what he looked like when i agree to adopt him and i remember my boyfriend’s reaction when he first saw him – “i thought he’d look like a bunny.” haha! we love our little muppet, though.

so true, monkey, who doesn’t love a romp through leaves? it’s been good for me now that he’s been outside. i run around with him like an idiot. thank goodness my neighbors don’t get out much.. =D

That is so fun.  He had a blast.  Lucky bunny.     Wish I could do that with Cotton.  I probably wouldn’t be able to catch him to take him back in.

It is hard indeed to catch them when they’re having fun outside. It is also true that they tend to be less “depressed” when they get to really romp around!

thankfully i haven’t had any trouble getting him back inside. he comes back in every now and then to flop out on the cool tile floor and get some water.

i’ve got to go to the vet in a few minutes to get him some advantage. can’t have fleas! that would be a bummer.
