I washed all of our bathroom towels with Otto’s bunny blankets - they both get hot water, so it works. Usually.

Otto’s been shedding a lot, so I made sure to shake out his blankets really well before washing.

I took a shower and used my towels. When I was done drying off, it looked like I had taken a bunny and dried off with it  And putting on moisturizer just make it clump up and get even ickier.

        Lesson learned.

Haha. Poor guy. And poor Monkey for looking rumpled! Otto looks like he get run over by a lawn mower 😛 He shedded during Christmas and I thought he was done by now, but all of a sudden I was able to pull huge chunks of hair out of his bum and now he looks all scraggly again.

In the future I will definitely wash only a few blankets at a time with the towels (instead of all 9 like I did this time) or just wash them separately. I did not appreciate being furry after my shower.

Every once in a while I run an ’empty’ load in my washer to be sure I get out any ‘leavings’ from doing bunny laundry. But I know what you mean, except in this house it’s mostly cat fur I find on my towels.
We don’t have a dryer, I have to hang dry everything. Otherwise I’m sure the little dryer sheets and the lint screen would take care of a lot of this stuff.

MM, I just count on the lint trap to get out all of the hair, but I guess I overloaded it this time.

When I wash regular clothes, there are always a few things that have to air dry. When I wash bunny blankets with those clothes, the air dried things always hay bits of hay and fur on them. Haha

Static cling is such a joy! >.< My bunnies' litter boxes get so charged up that I can't get any of the dust/fur/human hair off of them even if I spray them down with the shower head.
Some fabrics can just really hold onto stuff. Of course, that’s what lint rollers are for! ^_^ You wouldn’t believe how many of those I go through…and Swiffer cloths…OY.

Agreed MikeBun. While the rabbits don’t get towels, the dogs do get bathed with some, and I am glad that they have their own towels. Sometimes I dry a car that has been washed with a ‘dog towel’ and hair ends up sticking to my car.

Mike don’t worry about not fitting in, you don’t have to lie to the rest of the ladies; we all secretly know you SHARE Jack’s towels too!! lol

I try to make Bun towels bright colors so I know they aren’t mine lol – but you know accidents happen!

This post cracked me up, yes we have all been there haha

My bun towels are like swiss cheese….I had to spend a fortune replacing towels recently to be fair…Dave did not ask for swiss cheese towels so I thought I should buy new ones for us and the old ones are for the bunners.

Except apparently not distinguishable enough! He took his shower tonight …with a bunny towel. I won’t say anything if you won’t.

All of my bun towels are pieces of fleece – 3 are pale blue, 3 are green with brown polka dots, and 3 are dark blue with bright happy flowers 🙂 DH would never let me use our bath towels for the bun! Haha. Otto would probably put a few holes in them anyway.

Though if I’m going to keep washing them all together, we might as well share towels with him! All of the fur and hay from the bunny blankets seemed to transfer to the towels.

Fur and hay, they are bunny slave’s trade marks.

The only towels my bunny has are the ones that started out as mine, then became hers for obvious reasons, ie. one use. I had to go out and get more of those flour bag towels because they are perfect for wiping and washing the cage etc. but get stained despite washings.

MM, you can also get a really wide roll of masking tape at hardware stores (like 2-4″) and roll them around you hand, then pat or brush the areas with excess fur. Inside of washer or dryer, hanging towels, pants, etc. It’s the same thing only much more on a roll for your money.

Sammy still hasn’t had a big shed. She’s over a year old. I’m nervous that one morning I will suddenly wake up to a bald bunny. Her fur is like silk right now, so I guess it’s the hay, and the comb takes off very little fur so she still isn’t shedding much. Hmmmm.

lol E.    You turned into a were rabbit.  All furry long ears too.   What happened?   lol

I got that problem with their litter. I fixed the problem tho  I put the triangular litterbox back with the wire on top.   My buns don’t have towels per se so I got the shirt problem.

Umm fuzzy shirt and white haired black pants   lol
