This hit one of my other bunny groups so I'm boosting the signal

http://community.livejournal.com/bu...42836.html

PLEASE HELP ME IF YOUR IN SAN DIEGO AREA!
im a nurse in the navy and got orders to deploy to Haiti last week and though this isnt definite, i should be leaving later this week (wed-fri). initially my roommate was going to take care of bonnie my sweet dutch bunny while i was deployed for up to 6 months, however, she is also a navy nurse and found out today that she is also deploying to Haiti as well.

so here is my predicament:
-flying my mom out here to pick up bonnie this week is over $1,000 because my parents live in ny.
-shipping her home as far as i can tell is very expensive too.
-all my friends here have pets/are in the military/dont know how to take care of a bunny.

if anyone is in the area that can take here in for up to 6 months please get in touch with me as soon as possible. my roommate has a cat and bonnie does very well with her. she has lived in a house with dogs though never met them. she has never met another bunny but i think she would be very easy to socialize.

i know this is a lot to ask im just stuck right now. i dont want to give her to a shelter and have lord knows what happen to her, and i dont want to have someone permanently adopt her because she is my baby and i love her (been crying trying to figure out what to do at the thought of giving her up) but if i have to...i have to.

if you can help or have any other ideas of what i can do with her please let me know.
THANKS SO MUCH
-JoAnna

Is there any more info about what type of cage, how she is living right now? Would she be able to cover the costs of food, veggies, vet visits, etc? Is she spayed?

I sent her a private message on live journal but she never responded. The email she had listed was not active either.
