I’ve been told that a quartet is a set of four musicians dressed up in suits. This is true. It is also true that a quartet is any group of four.

I insist to call my herd of rabbits just that. I don’t like the term ‘foursome’ since that usually means two couples in a match competing with each other.

I also think a pair is a male and a female, while a duo is two of the same gender.

I guess, it doesn’t matter but my rabbits don’t have to learn instruments to be a quartet, or do they? I mean, bonding alone is asked enough, I say.

Lint, Deirdra, Neigey and Mops started the new year as a quartet after 5 weeks of bonding sessions.

Well, a Barbershop Quartet, but I think any grouping of 4 could be a quartet but it is usually but not always attributed to musicians.

I just think of a pair as a pair myself. I had 2 females and I called them a bonded pair.

            Congratulations on bonding all four.

I think you are free to call your 4 anything you want :~) But I think you would call them a warren and not a herd.

Hehe little Neigey snuggled up against Deirdra’s bum hehe

              I <3 your buns!

I like quartet myself, foursome just sounds like something naughty.

I love semantics… I really do.  A warren of rabbits it is! Makes sense even more so since their residence is underground (my basement).

I agree with you on that, too, Monkey. Naughty. my rabbits are nothing naughty.

I’d just call them “sweet enough to give me cavities!” lol…
I can hear the quartet now, “Sweet Bun O’ Mine!” (sung to the tune of Sweet Adeline) We actually have a ladies group of singers here in Fairbanks called the Sweet Adelines who sing very barbershop quartet type stuff…they are excellent. Which is why I haven’t joined them yet, since my squawking will ruin the sound, lmao!
Ahhh…multiple bonded bunnies! I DO look forward to getting that done with my three. I am so jealous, Petzy! >_<

Thank you Mimzy! — I like barbershop quartet type stuff, too! Funny enough, Neigey was very vocal during the bonding sessions, he might have a gift. — You’ll get yours bonded, I can feel it… or rather, you can just make them get bonding. At some point in my sessions I hit a patch of no progress… I considered building an igloo and take the bonding there, but I didn’t really have one. You could be a pioneer and be the first to use igloo-bonding… anything is permitted in love, war and rabbit bonding.

I wonder if that’s just a rex/mini-rex thing? Fiver is a VERY vocal bunny. Rather opinionated indeed, the little twerp.

My other two hardly make a peep unless they’re scared and then it’s only thumps. Mimzy only once squeaked at me and that’s when I had to lift him into his carrier for his neuter trip…I’d startled him by accident, moving too fast for him. I’ll never forget that sound and it cuts me to my heart every time I think of it.

Oh heck no. I hate the snow.
Although I haven’t tried bringing in any for them to nose around in this year. I don’t think Fiver’s ever been exposed to fresh fallen snow before. Certainly not with me.
Just gotta stay away from the snow where the huskies go…lol.

MM… you hate snow… and live in Alaska. Do you see something wrong with that picture? lol

That’s great Petzy! How are they liking the larger family?
I’m thinking they are The Fantastic Four – 3 males and 1 female.

Maybe Mimz hates the snow because she has it in such excess.

The larger family size has increased hay consumption. It is outrageous how much hay my rabbits eat as a quartet. They have hay parties. Hay-eating as a form of socializing. Lint has gotten chubby because he steals high-calory foods from the others… I may have to separate him out at pellet time.

Deirdra is on the shelf thinking to herself” Mwahaha all mine! Let those silly buns SHARE! Mwahahaha!”
