What is everyone getting for Christmas?!?!?!

Only 2 sleeps to go! I am so gosh darn excited!!! I think I know what I am getting from Carl for Christmas… but cant post on here because he will probably log in to see if I know what it is!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!

Carl is grumbling that there is only one little envelope of a present under the tree for him And its empty!!!  but he doesnt know that I hid his presents at my mum and dads house and its something he has been wanting for about 3 years … lol

My little girl is so excited, she is getting a toy Buzz and woody from toy story that blink, and talk to each other when you press a button. they have full conversations for ages with eachother, and are meant to understand what you say as well. She shook the pressie the other day and one of them started talking, and now she is just so excited and I dont think will sleep for the next 2 nights!!!

Our buns are getting a huge stack of new toys for Christmas! And our Toby Dog got his pressie the other day because I was so excited I just couldnt wait to give it to him! Here he is playing with it!

I think you all know what I am getting for Christmas (from my other post) a PS3 and three games for it, Oblivion, Little Big Planet and Assassins Creed 2. (I have to pay for half of it all though, but still ).

I am dying here, the tests I have tomorrow don’t matter, only the presents I am getting on Christmas do!

I am so sad though, I did not buy ANY of my friends Christmas gifts because I was just soo busy and I had no Idea what to get them… WELL I did give some of them presents last year while they gave me nothing. But I still feel so bad. And I NEVER know what to get my dad for Christmas, if he wants something he always gets it for himself anyway so we are left with nothing to buy him but food, which he already buys himself a lot of. Most of the presents we give him are joke presents. For example at one point my dad was obsessed with Shrek, so we bought him a Shrek Chia pet and a Shrek action figure.

peepi&warri, I heard it was *so* good, and I also heard they’re going to make a movie out of it!  My husband knows me so well and got it for me because he knew I love Jane Austen and, of course, everyone loves a good zombie invasion 

Moonlight_Wolf, Oblivion is one of my FAVORITE games ever.  I replay it about twice a year because it’s so beautifully done and so much fun!!  We’re also currently playing Assassin’s Creed 2, and I think you’re really going to like it!

Since money is so tight this year, most of my friends and family are getting homemade items this year, like my jewelry and Christmas cookies and things like that.  Also, since I’m moving to Colorado, my brother and his new wife are getting our washer and dryer, hehe!

If you’re strapped for cash, try things that people can consume, like cookies and brownies.  I have a friend who makes these toffee/chocolate treats that she gives to her friends every year, and they’re terrific gifts!!  Also, you can get pretty plants for reasonable prices if you look in the right place, and if you go on http://www.etsy.com you can find amazing gifts on the cheap because most of them are homemade by people who just love to create and share their talents!

well, i got my dad a huge collection of old john wayne movies- the classics. and i got my mom the first season of ‘criminal minds’, as well as a necklace and candle. i spent the same amount of money on both of them, but my dad’s was reallllly expensive so he gets one thing haha!

i got my christmas present from the parental units earlier this month, a pair of wonderful cowboy boots!!

I’m out of work so everyone got homemade gifts this year, made with things I could get with food stamps.

I made a rosemary-mint salt scrub from grapeseed oil infused with rosemary and mints from my garden. Two flavors of fudge (bittersweet chocolate mint and milk chocolate cinnamon) and caramels – the cinnamon chocolate one is a big hit with everyone.  I crocheted kitty string toys from eyelash yarn.  A disabled friend with a bread machine she hardly uses got a bunch of “bread mixes” – I put all the dry ingredients in a freezer bag and then wrote on the bag what needs to be added (milk, water, butter, etc).  I restrung some old costume jewelry onto elastic cord for my 2 year-old neice to play dress-up with.

I think I ought to get a fourth rabbit, a dog or just my boyfriend telling me I can quit my job and start up my own business. Probably won’t get any of those though  I know what my mother-in-law has bought me, which I am really looking forward to, but other than that people hardly ever take a look at my christmas list and buy what I am asking for

I’m pretty sure I’m not getting anything fun… I am a student and can never afford to buy anything, so I just ask for everything I need for Christmas. This year, I asked for a maze haven for the buns, a salad spinner, a new comforter for my bed, etc. The only thing I’m excited about is the potential of getting a maze haven! I’ve wanted to get one ever since I got Calypso (two years ago), and I think it would be so great to see them play in it.

Not sure what I am getting and it’s driving me CRAZY! I have a hard time telling people what I want when they ask, just because I never keep a running list in my head… I see something I like and then I forget about it 10 minutes later…

You pick out letters to spell words or names, the letters are made out of objects… It’s pricey for the whole thing (including special matting and frame) but it’s really neat and unique. They are hard to people to shop for b/c they have everything… but I think they’re going to love it! Only problem is now I want one!

I don’t exchange gifts with anyone anymore – heck it’s just not fun at my age and my DH, mom and dad, don’t want or need anything – I actually prefer it this way and so do they – takes the unneeded stress out of the holidays and makes it more fun.

I do give my niece cash though and that’s it. Her husband is a med student and she’s a grad student so they need the money.

I hear you Sarita! We have drastically cut down the number of people we get gifts for. Especially in this economy, it’s just too much to get everyone you know something… We mainly focus on the kids, and normally we don’t do much of anything for the adults, just a nice dinner. Mike and I get each other a couple small things, but they are usually practical things for the house. This year we decided to do adults and I agree it’s stressful trying to find stuff that people are going to like.

I went a bit scrazy this year because it’s the first Christmas I’ve had with my parents in 5 years so I may have felt the need to make up for lost time…
I asked for a CD player because I have no music in my room and it really depresses me but I’m not entirely sure that i’m getting it. I also asked for a new job, bunny teleportation and my own bathroom but I’m pretty sure those are out too
I asked my mum what she wanted and she said all that she wanted was for me to stop calling her Mumkin (mum + pumpkin = Mumkin) but I told her she’d been too naughty LOL. I honestly have no idea what I’ve gotten them because I started christmas shopping in early November and have no memory so it’s going to be a Christmas surprise for everyone.

i like seeing the array of things people have asked for/are getting.

my boyfriend and i have been making little jars of homemade hot chocolate mix and i hand painted them with holly berries and tied ribbons around them. we gave those to most people and i delivered cookies around town all day today while finishing up some last-minute errands.

i have no earthly idea what i am getting this year. i didn’t ask for anything in particular so i really don’t know what i’ll get. my boyfriend has been boasting and seems so proud of what he’s gotten me so i can’t imagine what it’s going to be. he said i won’t actually get it because i have to pick out which one i want. maybe another bunny?? lol!

WEeeee I got WAAAAY too much!!

Lots of gift cards and cheques. I got an unexpected big cheque from Dad this year!! I had no idea!! So sadly that will pay credit card debt-but what a surprise!! Got a new camera -was my big gift-you all will now see way too many pictures lol.

From Dave I got my computer a few weeks ago. Luckily everything was backed up but my laptop up and died completely-no heroic efforts would have sufficed. Also he bought me a dress and boots for parties this xmas so I was quite spoiled but with nothing xmas morning from him

Mikey got tons-have cute pictures coming of him opening up his stocking And I actually did good with Dave-got him a power saw he doesn’t have yet- he has six saws so I totally lucked out. And a family size deep fryer (he uses his deep fryer every day and I could kill him for it lol) so it cooks 5lbs of food at once lol I know he’ll use it. And my parent’s we got them a media centre and a hard drive-and put all our movies on for them -300+ Dave’s idea-I was very impressed and they love i alot. They can take it, since it’s small and portable-in their motorhomes for travelling Great gift idea-thank you Dave. And we totally outdid my bro and sil so yeah! LOL

Bunnies got basil (new) and willow treats. I am rebuilding Ruperts window seat soon so he’ll enjoy that as well
