guess what I did now

I was so happy I foudn by accident where to go on my Pinky to make copies of vista and defaults adn stuff.    I was looking to get into the registry and found this instead.     So I made copies of factory default settings   and drivers and apps.

I go to reinstall and accidentally erased Boot Mgr.   So I chatted online with Gateway and am able to order a recovery cd  not expensive either.  Phew.  So once it arrives Pinky shoud be in good workign order again.

When she comes up working agian I am going in and making 2 copies of every thing.   Just in case.   Hopefully I will have no more accidentally erased things come up.  lol

and the culprit is the Internet Explorer 8 update.  That is causing all my problems not smiley or cursor but IE8  Umhmmmm.   Next time updates come up I am going to get inside and make sure this IE8 does not get installed.   I have seen lots of blogs on IE8 problems.

I took Pinky to a comp repair place and she got checked out.   She is a real good little computer.   NO viruses and needed to install the updates but IE8 is preventing this along with preventing copy paste to BB

I am so relieved knowing these things.    

I am missing all the fun posts here.   Sitting gets to my back .   Let me go see the fun stuff now. For as long as my back lasts.

You know, BT, I haven’t used my IE since getting 8 because every time I shut down a window I’d get this “exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812afb” .exe error. I was so worried it was messing with my hard drive, I haven’t opened it to surf since then. I would have NO idea how to get the darned thing to work right, so I’ve just used Firefox ever since.
Wonder what the problem with IE8 is? I bet RabbitPam would know. *nods*

Yeah I heard it is a messup   deal.    It won’t let you install anything like your printer and so on. 

Be glad when the recovery cd gets here.   Bringing Pinky to life.   Yeah firefox is so much better.  

You just gotta watch your updates to make sure that IE 8 isn’t sneaking in.    It won’t let me update my  updates either.  I feel better knowing what the problem really is.       Oh and this is why Smiley central   and cursor mania won’t come up on toolbar like it is supposed to do. 

Well I  will have all the back up stuff so any more problems and I can fix it.   Are y’all getting a convoluted lesson on computers?   lol.   I am learning so much and some quite by accident too.   I tell you I sure am not losing my temper over it.  200.00 find for losing my temper lol   cured me.          Ok let me go see your bunny fun posts.
