Oh wow that is so sad! But at least it has a happy ending and that woman’s life is turning around. I hope she can get her bunny back.

One of my goals actually is to open/run a battered woman/children’s shelter that accepts pets too. I know there aren’t many that do that, and like this woman who was willing to live on the streets just to keep her pet, some women don’t leave their abuser because of their pets.

You were right, Sarita, I definitely cried. ;_; What a touching, heart-wrenching story!
One has to sit down and have a good long think after reading something like that. It is too bad that there wasn’t somewhere for the woman to go with her bunny. This situation reminds me of the Katrina pets. So many were lost, euthanized or had to be rehomed because the victims couldn’t bring them to shelters with them.
I hope everything gets resolved and that she can get her Ruby Angel back again. I think it would be sad if she had to go on without her. But if not, at least bunny has a good home with the foster care.

Oh wow. I really wish the best for that woman and for her bunny. I hope someday they can be together again.

It makes me sick how people give up their pets for no reason at all, and then there’s this amazing woman who would do anything to make sure her bunny was kept safe.
