Renovated the bun’s condo

Just a note here.  I spent two hours last night renovating the bun’s condo – nothing special, just putting carpeting down on all of the level’s floors (which until this time were just covered with cardboard).  I also made a new privacy screen for them by lacing jute twine through a NIC section.  I then added a doggie bed up top.  All the while, both buns just sitting in the corner.  When I was done, they didn’t seem too interested but this morning I woke up to Maryann sitting in the doggie bed.  She also loves the privacy screen.  Dono still just hunkers down in the farthest corner from me when I open the door.

I, of course, didn’t take any pictures as I’m not done yet.  I want to add some dangling toys for them to play with.  I bought some manila rope for this but noticed that the rope had a definite smell and feel of some sort of oil on it so I opted not to use it.  I’ll look into some hemp instead.

sounds fun mark! can’t wait to see pics of the finished casa. dono sure can hold a grudge huh? i assume it’s a post-bonding grudge… what else on earth could it be?

I used raffia before-it was easy to find-maybe available near you in a craft store?

I have to say, BBM, after two years, Mimzy, love-bunny of my life, still shoots under his shelf and hides from me when I open his habitat door. I can’t understand it, I spoil him beyond all else and am always very cautious about not scaring him or making him feel threatened. What IS it with male bunnies and their insecurities??
Of course if there is ‘treat-in-hand’, there is no hesitation about zooming out for it, snagging it, and then running away as fast as he can…my little gingerbread man. ^_^

Sounds like a nice arrangement! Now what exactly does Maryann want more privacy for, I’m wondering? (Perhaps it’s where she’s hiding her world domination plans.) 0_o
