So I've read like on the list of things rabbits can eat that they can have catnip...so could I buy my rabbits catnip cat toys? Do you think they would like them? I'd just be worried about them actually eating it.
And that list was given to me by the Health Director of the House Rabbit Society so it's pretty reliable. We've also had a previous discussion about it https://www.binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aff/1/afv/topic/aft/49298/mid/404/dnnprintmode/true/Default.aspx?skinsrc=[G]Skins/_default/No+Skin&containersrc=[G]Containers/_default/No+Container
I also think Katnipcrzy gave some to her bunnies, but they didn't seem all that interested. The only thing is IF your bunnies do like it, then you may have to watch the consumption of the actual stuff that makes up the toy. - crinkling plastic and material that may not easily digest if your bunnies actually try to eat it.
I had some catnip that I had planted in our yard- and it comes back every year. I brought some in the house and offered it to the bunnies- it IS an herb so it is safe for the bunnies. Cotton would not eat it- but Schroeder would. And when he ate it (grinds it with his back teeth) it really releases the aroma of catnip (which is in the mint family). It seemed to confuse the cats a little- they like to lick and chew the fresh catnip- but Schroeder was eating it- so it was disappearing but the aroma was intense.
I would only give fresh catnip- not dried- the dried pieces are very small and possibly dangerous is in a cat toy that the bunny might ingest part of.
