So I was reading about safe handling of bunnies and how to do the bunny burrito…and no, I did not pay any attention to :“Warning: this page contains a picture that may be distressing for some persons.”

And I am one of “some persons”, apparently. Poor Bun Bun Boy, that is so sad. But no bunny burritos in this house then!

Thanks for sharing-that’s an important PSA for people.

If you are sensitive and don’t want to follow the link-it is on the importance of properly burrito’ing your bunny to prevent you bun from breaking free and hurting themselves.

I like the tip on the restraint bag too-I know they use them for cats, and they have various zippers on some of them-so you can pull one limb out and clip nails or do an iv etc.

            Oh poor Bun Bun! >.<
This is my worst nightmare. That while doing routine exams, maintenance or cleaning or even emergency bunny bathing, that my precious babies would twist or fall badly and hurt themselves beyond help. I would never forgive myself. As such, I rarely pick them up for more than time out for play if I can help it. Nail trims are usually done on the bed with more than one person helping to hold bun and me trying my best with my crummy vision to see the quicks of their nails with the flashlight. Going to get myself one of those musher’s headlamps to strap to my forehead to free up my extra helping hands.

I do like that little bunny baggie though…I wonder where they can be found? And some of these rabbits in the other pictures look very content in their burritos.
