  Our Rat Terrier puppy Leia was fixed today. I went with my mom to pick her up and Leia started crying on the table in the vets office…which then made me cry because I know she was hurting and when a puppy cries it rips your heart out. I’m such a freak. I feel terrible, she looks miserable and depressed. We’ve made tons of comfy beds for her, and she has pain pills and infection medicine. Ugh she was so happy before we took her in. Well its for the best but I can’t help put see how much discomfort she is in. Wickett has to be kept seperate from her because he keeps trying to lick her stitches. I hope miss princess leia feels much better tomorrow!

  Aw. Poor baby. This small amount of pain now is much better for her in the long run though. My dad’s dog had uterine cancer as she was spayed late and it was just horrible. She was in so much pain, it tore my dad to pieces to see her like that. Try not to feel bad for Leia though! She will pick up on that and feel worse. Treat her as normally as possible, without doing anything to cause harm of course. Dogs live for a routine and she will be happiest if you try to stick with her normal one.

  (((Great healing vibes for Leia))))))) Hope she feels a lot better soon! I keep thinking I need to spay my two female yorkies sometime soon..they are 2 and 3 years old.

  Yea my mom and dad are really upset that we did this, even though we know its good for them health wise, it still hurts to see her discomfort. She seems really out of it from the meds, and the cone is weird to her. But my dad got her to eat and drink so that’s a good sign. I just got off work and changed and I’m going to go spend some time with her and snuggle. <3
