So…today my hubby and  I went to a pet store to buy hay for my buns, and the pet store sold fish. I LOVE fish!  I already have a female Jack Dempsey in a 29 gallon tank that she loves. I used to have her with a Red Zebra Cichlid (Peach) and we had put a separator between them because Peach would bite JD’s (Jack Dempsey) fins all the time. And before that we had her with my Green Spotted Puffer which I adored but she bit his fins too.

This past May, when we brought our dogs and fish from Missouri to Florida when we came back, they all survived the trip ( we sneaked in the fish and dogs into the hotel for the night lol). They were all in separate small aquariums for the ride and had their battery operated filters and everything (YES I’m fish obsessed O_O lol).

When we finally got here to FL and we set up their tanks as soon as we arrived, Puffy and Peach died Idk why…we tested their water and everything…Gosh I cried for so many days, Peach was my hubby’s fish and Puffy was mine. We had to watch them die and couldn’t do anything..horrible

        So…I totally rambled on

The thing is JD and my apple snail were the only survivors (plus my dogs obvioulsy!). I gave the apple snail to my sister since Jack Dempsey’s eat snails, and we kept JD alone.

BUT today my hubby fell in love with a crayfish and I’ve been wanting an aquatic (amazon) plant for so long that we got both! We ended up getting new decorations for the tank also and ironically had to go back to the pet store cause I had forgotten to buy the hay I know I know I’m a bad bun mommy!

So JD was curious about the new addition to our family, but they’re getting along just fine now. This is the name my hubby came up with for the crayfish: CRAY O_O VERY original indeed

So this was supposed to be a short post and I ended up telling a whole story…sorry!

Does anyone have fish or crayfish or aquatic plants?

I use to have a blue crayfish. Make sure you have a cover on the tank because they love to jump out of the tank. He was neat though

Cool! I love crayfish. They kind of scare me though. Actually, a lot. Them and giant fish. Any fish over 2ft is not my friend! I have corycats. I love them! They are so peaceful. It’s a dramatic difference between them and the female betta sorority tank I had before. The corycats just lounge about and live in their little tiki hut by the beach (my tank theme). I currently have 6, but I would love to get 2 or 4 more. I currently have 1 albino, 2 t-bone (I don’t really know what they are called, but they look like little steaks), 1 emerald, 1 spotted, and 1 panda. They have ones with spotted bodies and orange fins that I want so badly, but I didn’t have $12 with me the last time I was at the fish store. I’ve read again and again that different colored corycats don’t like eachother and will only hang out with other fish of their own color (racists!) but mine all seem to love each other so I don’t know what they are talking about.
