Monkey loves boxes of all types to play in. She doesn’t chew on them much, so if your bun isn’t a chewer they should be fine for sure. And welcome to BB

They are safe, but I try to limit glossy, printed boxes. I have found that my buns don’t like those kinds of boxes as much as corrugated cardboard anyway. Every once in awhile I’ll leave a box around (usually an empty box from a 12-pack of beer bottles) and they will nibble the edges and sit inside, but for the most part they don’t like it too much. With regular, brown corrugated cardboard, they have an easier time chewing it (it’s more “papery”) and my buns will pull the layers apart and dig at it.

It’s not a box, but one of the best toys for bunnies is the phone book. A yellow pages is thick, made with soy based ink, so it’s safe, and great for shredding with teeth and claws. It is so big that it can entertain them for a very long time.

But be prepared for a mess! I could stand the mess but my mom could not so…. we took it away after a while.

Yes! Valen loves phonebooks…he makes one huge mess, but his happiness is worth it! PT and TP tubes are good too, my bunnies just toss them all over! Fun toys and inexpensive too

I have a bundle of sticks that I got from BB, about a foot long each and straight. She chewed the willow that bound them and they came loose. So I took one, cut two pencil sized holes in opposite sides of toilet paper rolls, and pushed the stick through the holes. It has the rolls on the ends like a barbell, and she can pick it up from the stick in the middle or the rolls on the ends.
