I have to say, if it was possible for me to love my Bunners, and rabbits in general, more then I have definitely done so after joining this site.

I got my first rabbit rescue application today, and decided tonight it was time to donate in my area.

While searching for local rescues I came across an amazing couple at hugabunny.net and their story with their rescue bun, Ripley.  Ripley is not the only bun in their lives or their hearts, but it was an awesome story to watch.

I've posted their latest update here, but if you get a chance to check out some of their other videos, please do!  I cried, but in a good way, knowing that the love this bunny was about to get after he was found.

Watch with caution!  And a kleenex!

This website/forum has been an amazing find, and I feel so blessed to have everyone here to communicate with, laugh with over my bun, and cry with should we lose the ones we love so dearly.

You are all amazing people, with bigger hearts than anyone could ever know, because bunny love seems to make our hearts grow until they nearly burst! .

Thank you for all your help and advice so far, and for all the stories we will get to share in the future!

I didn't realize when they said house rabbit, this rabbit would be the size of a house! :)

Scooter,
Did Ripley get head tilt, or was this a congenital condition he was born with?
How old is he here? When was this video made?

Thanks for posting it. I love their voices talking over the video of Ripley. They are so caring and accepting of him.
How is he as of today?

They found him with head tilt. According to their vet at the videos in the beginning of their story it was from untreated ear mites. As for age, etc. I'm not sure. They seem to have had him for about 6 months as of the last video and the change is remarkable! The first videos are rather graphic and hard to watch. I'm glad I saw this video first because it would have been HEARTBREAKING to not know the little guy made it.

Firstly, good on you for supporting rescues! Secondly, I'm really glad you embedded the video. I find if I view vids on youtube site - i sometimes go read comment people have left and usually regret it. I don't even want to know what people may have said about Ripley! For those who know & love rabbits, viewing that video (in my opinion) is rewarding. Seeing the improvement he is making and knowing he is has understanding carers.

Most of the comments I saw were along the lines of "Hope he gets betteer!" or "Poor guy, hope someone gives him a good home". So they weren't that bad Jersey

I know it's wrong of me, but I find it somewhat funny that he runs in circles. I mean, it makes sense but still it's cute.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I loved it when he went for the power cord.  Nice to know that even a bun with a disability is just as michevious as any other bun.

My bonding quest with Maryann - Read about a less than easy bonding with two buns - but they did bond!

I know! He's doing the circles and they start giggling. You hear the lady say "Be careful, or you're going to bonk your head again". I think it's great. He's got to be such a great personality to have around.

I cried a bit. Oh, poor little fella. I can't believe that it takes so long to fix a head tilt. Horrible.

This is the first time I have looked at this Rescue thread because I know how it makes me feel. I have such a soft spot in my heart for handicapped animals and would love to take care and love all of them. This bunny is so adorable. I am thankful that somebody gave him a good home sweet dear little thing.
