Well it has been over a week now and Eclipse has been free range (sounds like I’m raising chickens! lol). She doing much better with not chewing on my things. She is still a perfect princess with the litterbox. I gave her a phone book to destroy and that helped a ton. A little messy, but soooo worth it. She is mostly a sweetheart. After I shower she likes to lick my ankles. She is a little bratty sometimes though. She LOVES long pants. She bit my boyfriend’s long pants (while they were on him!), and last night I put on my new pj pants and she bit them too (and consiquently me!). It is not a mean, or very painful bite, though I certainly don’t want it to continue or get worse. She also likes to get attention from my boyfriend by digging at his feet. So far he doesn’t seem to mind her, he might even like her. I’m not sure. I think rabbits are not animals he ever thought of as pets. His dad had them many many years ago indoors, but I don’t think he knew all the bunny proofing stuff so he probably would never get bunnies again. Plus it was before the bf was even around so he really doesn’t have experience with rabbits.

Also replaced Eclipse’s bigger cage with the smaller one she came in. It gives me a lot more space in my room, and as she free run almost all the time I feel she doesn’t need a big cage anyways. The funny thing is that she is now spending more time in her smaller cage than she did in the other bigger cage. I just don’t understand rabbits.

she has bitten a few wires and my bags and shoe laces and all the couch.. oh and eat a chair once.. but oh well just dont put anything u dont want bitten in her domain..
          lol
          good luck
your bunny will like u more if you let her free.. they are not ment to be caged..
          just my thoughts..

            Fufu sounds cute! Pics?
So far Eclipse is a good girl, sometimes I think she behaves too well and she’s actually up to something, or I just haven’t found her huge mess.
She does seem to like me more, or at least, she seems happier out.
Though I do have two other rabbits that don’t do well as free range. One was abused from a young age and doesn’t understand the litterbox in a bigger area than his cage, and the other still marks (yes, she is spayed). So they end up stuck in their cages. Hopefully I will be able to finish their cage and have them live together during the day.

Sounds like your little rescue could use a companion.  Hopefully it will work out and she will be ok.   It is so unfortunate the abuse they suffer and when they get a wonderful home sometimes they just don’t understand things for a while.

Being in a situation where they can’t escape their urine or poo seems to mess them up mentally sometimes.  So sad.

Hopefully your rescue will come to appreciate you more.  I am sure she appreciates her nice new clean home and the good care you give her.  IT is so sad sometimes when an animal doesn’t get over the abuse they suffered.
