My son sent me the link to the YouTube video of “Another 100 Ways To Die In Halo3-Part 2 of 2” (there’s already 100 Part 1??) and I just had to share because…well, pay attention to #87 in particular…. lawlz  A warning to the sensitive about the obvious gratuitous videogame violence, but if you’ve ever played the game, you will probably get a good laugh out of these. And the intrusions of other media into the storyline is hilarious. xD

(and just in case the hyperlink thingy didn’t work…)

        Enjoy!

Haaaha, too funny 🙂 I`ve never played Halo3, but I am a big gamer, this was really cute, I wish they`d do it for some of the games I play.

Hilarious! Most of my close friends and relatives and I play Halo 3 like it’s going out of style. Of course now we’ve moved on to Halo 3: ODST. And last night I found I have a knack for computer games. Which makes sense since I literally had a (computer) mouse in my hand before I could walk. lol.

lolz…Glad you all enjoyed it. I was a little worried after posting it last night because I tend to think perhaps our younger members (and some of you my age, believe me it took YEARS for me to let my son play this game!) don’t really need anymore violent imagery in their lives, but the bunny was WAY too good to pass up!
I also enjoyed the Dr. Who reference. ^_^ And Sonic. And Tetris.
My daughter was commenting last night that the bunny in the clip reminded her of MarkBun’s Maryann. xD Perhaps they are related?

Everyone says that video games are the big flaw in my bf since he’s kind of an addict. Though I don’t really see how it’s any different than watching sports on weekends if the couple enjoys doing it together, or at least accepts the other’s ‘hobby’.
Plus Halo, I don’t really considered a ‘violent’ video game, at least not compared to half of the stuff that is on prime time tv, or other much more bloody video games with more graphic stories or graphics. Or maybe I’m just desensitized. bleh.

My son is terribly addicted to gaming. He wants to become a designer though, so, it probably isn’t a big deal.
But I do wish he would study more.
I agree that Halo isn’t as bad as, say, Prototype, which I have also watched my son play. You couldn’t get me to try that one for all the tea in China. But I can still remember watching him first play Pokemon when he was about 7. I walked by and thought, “What a dumb game! Waste of time.”
Now I’m totally addicted to it. I want to get good enough to enter one of the tourneys when the next set get released (if they make another set) but I would be so crushed if I couldn’t place decently! lolz
My guess is, the hubby got our first Nintendo platform when I was pregnant with my son, and I played things like Golf and Super Mario Bros. on it for a few hours on the days when I had nothing else to do. As a result, I think he practically was born with the paddle in his hands! lol His favorite lullaby was Mario’s game theme.
I’ve told him that he should work towards developing AI. There are so many games out there that would be awesomesauce if they could take them to that level. However there are just as many, if not more, that sadly would be horrifying in the “Brainstorm” arena. (For those who don’t know, that was an old movie with Christopher Walken in it where a kind of virtual reality was created that allowed people to place this special headgear on and it would tap straight into their brainwaves and replay any physical event or deed to the extent of making you feel like it was happening to you. The end of the movie dealt with the developer playing back a ‘tape’ of someone dying and the resulting effects it had on him.)
But yeah, I doubt it will happen in my lifetime. Probably a good thing too.
