Hi everyone. i just koined not too long ago tonite. i was actually introduced to the site by Furface. giving me advice on my new baby bunny, her name is Whiteout. she just turned 6 weeks old on thursday and i dont think she is very happy so i posted an ad on online classifides looking for people who would be willing to give me advice.
i have never owned bunnies before. i have only owned guinea pigs. had a male named Keenan and he lived to be 10 years old. i miss him dearly. wanted another small animal but not a guinea pig. so i did a search nd did some homework and got Whiteout. a mini rex.
Welcome to the forum. Everyone this is a picture of Whiteout;
i cry heavily as i write this but i lost my beautiful little Whiteout last nite and im devestated. I had never given her alphafa. only timothey, she had a HUGE cage with a plastic bottom and was using the litter box very well. i did everything right and i lost her. I love you Whiteout and even though our time together was brief, your little paw print is permanetly imbedded in my heart. I will see you again one day. Good bye for now my little girl. ~~Love: Mommy
I cried as i read your very helpful replies and I really enjoyed the binky free Whiteout for i said to her. she is burried in my yard rapped in a bag s the strays dont disturbe her resting place.
i have contacted the breeder and he doesnt know why she had passed but had also said he doubted it was fault on my part. i REALLY loved her and miss her dearly for i was very attatched even though it was only 9 days. i looked forward to seeing her when i got home and of course my dogs and cats.
the breeder is going to send me another bunny to make up for me loosing her but well, im not ready for someone new right yet. he is going to honour my grieving period, how ever long that may be, for my little precious Whiteout and when i am ready, i will get my new little one.
thank you again for your kind words. it means a lot to be soo new on here and have people supporting me in such a sad time.
Oh, I'm so sorry. Binky Free Whiteout. She was obviously very much loved during the time you had him. A wonderful gift even though it was short.
When you do get ready to invite a new little on into your life, please come and share with us. . We can also all help you prepare. Like asking for the breeder to wait until 8 weeks to wean so that you are not sent such a young fragile little one. We don't want you to go through this heartbreak again. Also, it will helps us to help if we understand how the breeder "sends" these young bunnies, or even advise where to get your next bunny when the time is right for you.
So WELCOME to our community even though it's under such sad circumstances - take the time you need for healing, and we're here for you when you need us.
