UGGGGG!! I know I have four and that’s asking for it-but they’ve never molted at the same time.

EVERYONE IS MOLTING-it’s awful  Rupert is by far the worst-as usual. He normally sheds something feirce all year but right now he looks like a deranged rabid rabbit  I’ve been taking him outside and furminating/plucking him-my whole yard is full of fur (luckily I have nice neighbors) Kahlua is molting big chunks of her wooly fur. Chuck is molting chunks around his bum (his normal molt) and Noot’s following Ruperts ‘crazy all over molt’

Pray for me-I may end up in the news “Crazy Rabbit Lady found dead in her home burried in mountains of rabbit fur”

did you know, that commercial breeders torch off the shed fur from the wire hutches or they would become woven shut with wool? rabbits produce a lot of hair. Anyone here collect it for felting or such?

devastator, i am sorry about misnaming you, just noticed.

anyways, so, what kind of vacuum is that?

Furface, think about any multiple pet household, choking on all that fur… there has got to be a better way to deal with it.
I always thought a central suck-in point that quetly constantly sucks in air and with it all dust and fluffs…. the opposite of a heating vent, you know?

I have an air filter, works somewhat similar, sucks air in & I have to wipe the hair off the intake, miracle it hasn’t quit yet with all the bunnie fluff.

it’s just a little dirt devil pet hand vacumn but you can attach a hose.

it’s perfect for poop and fur haha

Hmm… Monkey has shed a little of her fur, but not too much. Little goober hates being brushed, so I hope she doesn’t shed too much

Petzy, maybe what you need is a central vacuum system and some automatic dustpans!

                              http://home.howstuffworks.com/central-vacuum.htm

Though I don’t think an auto duspan sucks in air all the time… you still have to run around with a broom.

Sigh. I all sounds so good: air exchanger, auto-dust pan, central vac… but I do believe, in the end, you just have to get down and really clean the old-fashioned way to get it done. (I don’t mean torching but using water and a mop, a cloth etc.) But these things would assist nicely, only they are pricy.
