My daughter and I have been glued to the t.v. each Sunday night to see the latest episodes of this show, (that is, when the DTV is cooperating) although we’ve both read several versions of the legend of Arthur and this one takes the cake for innacuracies. But all in all it’s very entertaining.

Have to wonder when Uther is going to get his. You know he has to for Arthur to become king. And he’s SUCH a jerk!

I actaully shed tears when they killed the unicorn last week. Meanies.

OH and you are right it doesn’t follow the book at all.  Guess it being a series they changed things around a bit to keep things interesting

I have been watching it- and it certainly does not follow any books or stories I have read.  Arthur, Merlin, “Gwen” and Morgana all seem to be the same age.  And “Gwen” is a servant.  And the episode with Mordred (druid boy) was odd since I thought Mordred was Arthur’s younger brother- evil younger brother actually.

But even with all the inconstancies- I still keep watching it!

Mimz, that is my favorite show. I love medieval fantasy stuff and this is my # 1. I love how Arthur insults Merlin alll the time, you know, belittling him, questioning his worth… when Arthur himself is clueless in so many ways!
–Did you also like the movie Stardust?

My son is absolutely addicted to this show also, so of course he’s pulled me in!!!! I’m glad to hear that others have found inconsistentcies – I was begining I was the one who had things turned around in my brain!!!!!!!! My son is actually readinga 4 book series that chronicles the life of Merlin from birth to ???. He’s just begun, so he hasn’t come across anything too contradictory, but I’m sure I’ll hear about it when he does!!!!!! I can’t remember the name of the series, but the first book is something like Crystal Caves or Caves of Crystal???? I know the author is female – sorry I can’t tell you more, but the book is in his room which is not somewhere I choose to venture in the dark (it’s even scary in the daytime!!!!!!)
