  A few wanted me to post photos of my chickens …. so here we go.
  
  Above is my Golden Lace Wyandotte Rooster … his name is Brewster the Rooster. He is very pretty when the sun hits his feathers.

  We had baby chicks in June …. these are Self Blue Cochins …. they have feathers down their legs. Note the chicks are born with the feathers already on their legs…. these are darling gentle chickens. We sometimes sell and ship eggs for hatching.

  And this is our Self Blue Bantam Cochin Rooster. Not a good photo … he looks “grainy” in this photo and he even looks mean here … he is a sweet rooster … and his feet are full of feathers … so I need to get a better shot of him. He is very short-legged and so cute when he strunts around with short legs and with his legs and feet full of feathers …. looks like he is wearing pants ! LOL !

  What nice roosters! We used to have roosters, but they got annoying… It’s sooo cool that you have babies! Do you ever ship out hatched/sexed chicks? We got Silkies as babies and two of them ended up being roosters so we only have one bantam now. Are Cochin chickens true Bantam or a little bigger?

  Not sure about the ” true bantam” …. we are still learning about this chicken stuff. From what I understand …there are two size Cochins … One being the larger birds … and they are just called Cochins. The second being the bantam Cochins … the smaller birds. Our Self Blue’s are the bantam Cochins. We do not know how to sex the chicks either … and we have never shipped chicks. Well .. it is 8:10 pm here and dusk … time for me to go and lock up the chickens … we live in the country and I have to lock them in a smaller pen during the night to keep them safe. At dusk … they put themselves to bed in their smaller pen.

  Man, they are gorgeous! Brewster is a looker. I love the blue rooster too. I’ve always wanted a Bantam Rooster but I have to say that Brewster is pretty magnificent. Cute chicks too.
