Okay, so I mentioned recently that I was having bunny behaviour problems, and I still sort of am... but now I'm confused I recently revampped my bun's cage to have some play space in from of her actual cage and she's still being grumpy... stomping, letting off her skunky smell, etc.... but a one point while I was watching her have her little temper tantrum, she started zooming back and forth REALLY quickly from one end of the floor space to the other and suprised my boyfriend and I with a series of binkies! Her first ones, too, I was so excited!
But now I've just got no idea what to think... being angry about territory AND doing happy binkies at the same time? What IS my bunny thinking? xD Any ideas on how to interpret this?

Some buns don't take kindly to having their surrounding s changed. A lot of them will attempt to "redecorate" it themselves by pushing everything around and making a great big mess in the process. I would give it a few days to see how your bun's behavior continues.

she isn't spayed yet, right? buns who are intact tend to be much more territorial about their space. my guess is she does love her new space, but is also trying to defend and define her turf.

She's just claiming her "new" territory.  Very normal.   And she also might be throwing a tantrum at the same time with the limitations and change.  Her Binky's could be a way to let off steam and let you know what a tough "fighter" she is.

In the wild, bunnies also binky as a way to avoid a bite from their opponent.   So though binkies can be happy moves, they are also ways to show off during mating, escape predators, and used during fighting for territory.
