I’ll have to take a look when I’m at the store tomorrow, but last week, I noticed our grocery store had rabbit food.  It wasn’t a brand I recognized, came in a very small bag and was pretty pricey, but I took a look since the local PetSmart (the only place around here I can find Oxbow), is a ways away and I might be able to save on gas if I was stupid and ran low.  Then I looked at the contents–sunflower seeds with the shells on, dehydrated banana, dehydrated apple, alfalfa…all in all, it was a pretty complete list of everything you shouldn’t feed a rabbit!  I’m going to have to find out the brand name because I want to write the company and give them what-for!  That, and I want to find out a complete list of the ingredients.  Seeing the sunflower seeds in their shells through the packaging was enough for me at the time.

Bummer!  Well, I you can see if there are any other retailers near you that sell oxbow stuff by using the retail locator on the Oxbow Hay site

I just put in a random Olympia, wa zipcode so you will have to change it to your own, but you might be surprised to find another store.  Just be sure to call and make sure as sometimes these can be outdated or they may sell oxbow hay, but not pellets, etc, etc.

          Hope that helps.

Grocery stores are pretty notorious for carryiing junky pet supplies. Mabye you can order your stuff to your house?

Quantum I’m guessing you are looking for “emergency’ back-up. I think that your rabbit can go a day or two without pellets and you can order some to be shipped to you online (not sure how the gas vs. shipping costs pan out) in a couple of days.
