Hello everyone,

First of all, sorry to have gone MIA for a while. When the boys first died I couldn't stay off of here and then I needed to not be on for a little while because it made me too sad. I'm still sad, miss them all the time. But it's not so raw anymore. Thank you for all the support when I lost them!

Now...my roommate went to a friend's house tonight and found out that they've had a domestic bunny pretty much living in and around their yard for the last couple of months. They have been feeding him once or twice a day and the little guy/girl is very tame and likes to be petted. It runs up to them for food. Knowing what she does now because of the boys, my roomate called me about him/her and we decided to catch him and get him all taken care of and then find him/her a home. Any advice on getting them settled/finding them a home? I left Monkey a message about getting us hooked up with the rescue here so they can help us with finding a good home. Also, any guesses on his/her breed or age? I am going to try and get him/her into the vet next week to make sure they are healthy/speutered. We are thinking of calling him/her Thor since the tough little guy/girl has survived at least a couple of months on their own!

He looks like he may have some blue Havana to me! And he's GORGEOUS! And I LOVE the name Thor! We've missed you! Let us all know how the vet appointment goes and what they say! Vibes to the poor little bun! <3 <3

Oh good for you Jenna!

It appears youngish... judging just from the face shape. He/she is the exact colour of my foster Ainsley! He's 11 months now and looks similar, though is a lop. You can get a little idea of age if they look lean and later you see them fill out a bit. But if this one is lean, that may be due to it living outdoors like a wildie.

Hey everyone,
We were able to catch Thor (I'm pretty sure it's a boy) with a carrot today and I'm so glad. It's been pouring down rain all day. We got him back to our place and have him set up in a cage with the basics. He ate some pellets and he's been munching on hay all day. I've been sitting in here with him while he got comfy and he has explored the room now and me. He is very friendly and seems to really enjoy being petted. I finally picked him up to see if I could tell his sex, look at his bottom, his teeth, etc. From my non-vet eye, he looks pretty good. Clean bottom, no obvious things wrong with the teeth. His feet are a litle dirty but that's to be expected. He has really tiny feet! At least compared to Chubs and Comet. He also isn't very big so I think....he's fairly young, or he has some dwarf in him. Haha, he keeps wanting to get up on the bed and I don't really want him up there till he's all cleared. Man is he cute though. Lucky or really smart little guy! Oh I also can't see testicles, do you always see them in adult rabbits? I doubt he's been neutered so I feel like if he was a full grown adult, I'd see them. Also not sure about litter habbits, he hasn't been marking anywhere outside the cage really, aside from like two pellets earlier and we've been hanging out for a couple hours now. Definitely a curious guy!

Boys can be tricky, as the testicles can be pulled up into their body too. It's also possible Thor is a girl too

I thought Mimzy was a girl for eight months. It's not till they have the op that you realize otherwise! 0_o

I know, I thought he was bigger from that picture but he's pretty petite, can't get over how little his feet are! I read an article about telling the sex and I'm 90% sure a little penis is poking out when you tighten the skin down there, which is how they said you could tell it was a boy. But who knows. He did a binky earlier! So clearly he is appreciative of having somewhere warm and cozy with food and water Did my heart some good I must admit. I will get some pics soon.

That is so neat that you found him and gave him a good place to stay for the time being! I hope he finds a forever home soon! He is one cute bunny!

He is beautiful! Thank you for rescuing him. Is there any way you'll be able to keep him?

I was feeling a little torn yesterday since he is just so cute and sweet. But in all honesty, I'm not ready to make the committment again. I'm applying to nursing programs all over the country right now, I still have a lot of vet bills to pay off for Comet and I just don't feel ready to be a bunny owner again. It's wonderful to have one home again and I'm so glad we rescued him but he's a foster for me. My roommate is maybe wanting to...but we'll see!

What a handsome boy! I'm really curious as to what he is now! I didn't realize he had the same body structure as my Tans! Obviously not a Tan... but he still looks like a Havana to me! But his body structure seems SLIGHTLY off from the ones I've seen. He actually looks skinnier than the Havanas I'm familiar with -- but he was a stray so maybe he does have Havana? I may be mistaken, but his coat doesn't really look Rex to me?

No he doesn't have Rex fur but possible he could be a Rex cross. Apparently offspring of rex and a non-rex never get the rex fur. So ive heard... lol.

He actually reminds me if Puffy's Olivia but different colouring.

I don't know much about breeds, but is he too big to be a polish?

I don't know about breed! I don't think he's a rex though, he has thicker fur than that. His fur is not as thick as either Chubs or Comet though and he is mini in some ways but still kinda tall. Not sure. Here's some cute pictures though. He's such a love and he's been doing binkies like crazy tonight. His litter habits are already pretty fantastic too. Not sure on age, he looks young but his litter habits make me think older? He's got a vet apptmt Thursday morning so we should know more then!

No Jersey, he does throw off a satin sheen! He's shiny and pretty Craziest little bunny. He repeatedly climbs on to my lap and stays for pets. Last night he laid on my chest on the floor while I was watching TV for over an hour.Haha. CUDDLY!

OMGGGG. If you post any more pictures I may have to come bun-nap! He is such a handsome little cutie!!!! I love the one of him flopped over in his litter box. My girl does the same thing -- with her feet all plopped up on the sides. Squeeeealllll!

He is sooo cute! His poor little feet are stained brown too I don't get the idiots in this world who throw away pets into the wild thinking that's okay. Be careful with all that cuddle time You might just get your heart stolen.

Haha guess I better keep posting pictures then! Heart's already stolen but I take pet ownership seriously (as we all do) and I just don't feel ready for the committment of forever again. I know we can find him an amazing home. If I adopted every time my heart was stolen, I would have an apartment full of animals!! haha And yeah, the brown feet. I think from being outside for so long!! I don't understand it either. He's still so loving though, pretty amazing.

He's beautiful. Have no idea of the breed - most likely some kind of mix though. I hope you find this adorable fellow a good home.

Oh man, Thor is adorable. Not afraid of people at all! Came right on over to me for pets when I visited him and Jenna He'll have no problem finding a home

Hey everyone, I am terrible about keeping up on here!

Thor has found a new home. Monkeybun hooked me up with rabbit advocates here and he was adopted.
I got to be vet involved and take him to his new home. I feel very good about it and his new owner has Facebook friended me and has said I can bunny sit sometimes
It was incredibly hard for me to not keep him but I really feel like it was the right decision for all of us. He is truly an awesome bun and I think he helped me heal from the boys but I know he's found a good forever home!
I don't know how those of you who foster do it though, so incredibly hard!

Hooray! That's lovely to hear. I think meeting the new owner and seeing where they'll live helps a lot when parting with a foster. I'm happy to hear you were able to do that.
