  A couple of times a year the Animal Rescue Site (animalrescuesite.com) conducts a shelter challenge. The shelters with the most votes overall and the shelters in each state with the most votes recieve a donation. The House Rabbit Society Headquarters in Richmond, CA is listed, as are shelters in every state and Canada. Last time the HRS headquarters did get enough votes to get a small donation. I am sure they would appreciate the votes so they can receive the funds.

  I will ne voting for SaveABunny myself (can-t imagine why). But seriously, and not to knock the HRS as they do a ton of work, they are a national organization and get funding from many sources and grants. The independent groups like mine or The Rabbit Haven can benefit more from such contests.
