JackRabbit and jerseygirl – it’s nothing fancy, Samsung Galaxy S4. It’s only got like 13 megapixel camera. It’s not brilliant but it’s good enough for me and you can still take decent photos in rubbish light and it’s pretty dark in my flat.

MissD — my new phone is a galaxy s5. I think you have a knack for taking pictures. If you ever decide to have a “hobby job” you should seriously consider photography. The lady that did my son’s graduation pics started out doing pics at her son’s daycare, then added pet pics, then people pics. My son was her first full grad sitting and the pics were better than any of the “professional” packages others had done. Some people just have an eye for it and a steady hand. I think you’ve got both.

Well, they do stink, yes. But it doesn’t really matter, after owning one for a week or two, you won’t smell it anymore. I can only detect Bubbles’ odor if I put him right under my nose. Most of the smell gets attached to their bedding, so if you wash it regularly it will keep the smell down considerably. The only issue might be when someone comes to visit you, they will smell it of course. What I would do is wash all the bedding and give Bubbles a bath right before someone comes over, that way there shouldn’t be any smell at all.

So, it’s all good. Now go get one!!!  And yes, Oscar ate every last bit of kale! He must have a black hole in his stomach!

Hazel, I am not allowed. My partner already complains the rabbits stink – even if I have JUST cleaned their litter boxes and all I can smell is fresh hay and pine pellets – so a ferret is not something he’d be OK with in the house. The smells he likes are bleach, ammonia and cologne so strong it gives me headaches and makes it hard to breathe. lol He even complains my lavender oil stinks. I have loved ferrets ever since I was a kid though, they are just so full of energy and personality!

and now we are back to giving bunny vacations! this is Madison & Emma who will be with us for August/Sept. they are 2 more babies from the huge 2010 phoenix backyard rescue. this is their first time in a home and they are still really shiy (we only brought them home a few hours ago). Madison had to have her right eye removed shortly after the rescue, but it doesn’t affect her in any way. im gonna get some good brushing time in this evening..

Oh gosh, I know I already shared pictures, but I thought this was too cute not to show.

Theodore has been looking for a way into this chair for the longest time. He’s always been able to hop up in there, he just doesn’t really like heights or levels and prefers to dig and stay near the ground. But today, I had my back to the chair, and all of a sudden I hear this “FWOOMPF”, so I turn around and see this:

What a satisfied bun! And he got down just fine.

Awww I’m sorry, that’s just not right! You can borrow Bubbles whenever your partner isn’t home. That way you can enjoy him and he’ll be tired out when we get him back!

It’s a great day to be a bunny when your BB order arrives!

Poor Hobie was jealous there wasn’t anything for him in the box!

Oooohhh, BB order! I haven’t ordered anything in a while. It’s funny, when I order bunny stuff I usually have it shipped to my office (cheaper and faster). When the box arrives, I have people coming in and out of my office the rest of the day to check out the new bunny stuff! The guy who signs for the packages always comes to find me to let me know the box came!

After spending close to $1400 (none of it covered by insurance since the bunny tests came out clean and dog didn’t have insurance) on vet bills in the past two weeks for all of my pets, its going to be a little while longer before I do a BB order!

Everytime I have to take one of the furbies to the vet I have a minor panic attack that it will be that expensive. Even if it’s just a checkup or vaccination day. It seems like it’s always more than you planned for.

I know I am and I thank my lucky star every day for it too! I keep half expecting them to start fighting any minute like it can’t possibly have been that easy. Strawberry still tries to mount Lola every once in awhile but she just moves away and he usually lets it go. And she doesn’t hold a grudge against him for it because a few minutes later she will be looking for him ready to snuggle.

Mine lops were kindof littermates and have always been bonded and one or the other will still try humping once in a while. They will even do the circling then and freak me out but it always ends in grooming — usually starts with Moshi just being Moshi and Marlee biting his butt and it goes on from there. The cutest thing is “yin yang” grooming! I’ve got to get a picture or video of it!

Sometimes I wonder if he’s doing it because she WILL NOT groom him back.  Is that possible? He grooms her every time she asks and sometimes even when she doesn’t but the second he sticks his head under hers she hops away looking all huffy like “How dare you?!?”. I feel really bad for the little guy. He just wants some love too! lol The mounting is getting less but it still happens at least once every few days (at least that I see, who knows what goes on at when they are alone).

Lol, thanks Jack Rabbit.  Willow has always liked to be as close to her bowls as possible.  I think its because she wants to be ready just in case I decide to feed her early.  She is quite the character.

Again, another picture with her sticking close to her bowl!!  I’ve come to realize that 99% of my pictures will appear in this fashion.  1) because this is the only time that she is actually still and 2) because, well, she loves her bowl!

Buddy’s a naughty boy. Bedroom is the only room Bud and Hannah are not allowed into because we have our printer and charge anything that needs charging there. We’ve got a gate installed in the doorway to stop them from going in but Buddy managed to hop over it and chewed one of the cords. Luckily it wasn’t plugged in. Needless to say, we are looking for a taller gate now

@jerseygirl- I just ordered that tote bag yesterday! Cottontail Designs was able to keep their local shelter in LA running by doing fundraisers with their tshirts and tote bags which is amazing to me. I wish I was talented enough to create merchandise to help raise money for my HRS in Delaware. Trigger is silly he always thinks if I’m eating or drinking some thing he thinks he’s going to get some to and starts begging or just jumps up into my lap to get a better sniff. He only chews the back side of the bed room door other than that he leave cords alone……. I do have wire loom around 90 percent of the wires in the house though.

Congrats on the bonding Silverpaws! Love the hay rack idea with what seems to be a dish rack. Nugget and Emilee is in dire need of a good hay rack because they waste so much hay when it sits in their litterbox.

It is indeed a dish rack! Found it for a couple of pounds in a cheapy store, and its done wonders for the hay. It used to go all over the carpet, and would largely get ignored, my buns are icky about floor food! Hay rack solved that.

Then I had to kinda avoid answering questions from the hubby about where I was going today when I picked it up, when I showed the picture to him he wasn’t as excited. Kept mumbling things about the rabbits taking over. So picking it up today was a covert operation! LOL

Bunnies *taking* over? I thought the bunnies already *took* over! That was a done deal the day one became three!! (Same here!). Just wait until hubby is sitting at the kitchen table eating a bowl of cereal one morning and he looks up to find Bonnie on the table staring at him! Priceless!

I know this is gross, but . . . you know the bunnies have really taken over when you walk down the hallway, see a bunny poop, kick it to the side, and keep on going in hopes that one of them will “eat that one” before you go back to vac it up later!

Diamond — we had one if those! My bunnies shredded/ate it! Don’t know if you’ve seen them, but I think the BB store may have a round willow tunnel. I know they have willow tent shaped tunnels (I have the regular and xl sizes) and my buns love them!

Trigger doesn’t mind loud noises at all even when the stereo is turned way up he’ll lay right in front of the speakers. I know he doesn’t have any hearing problems you crinkle one bag just a little bit and boom he’s at your feet in an instant.

@Manic, the buns will love that! I can imagine them zooming up one ramp and down the other.

I was lucky enough to pick up a playhouse several years ago. My trio now have it in their room.
I didn’t use the slide but made a longer ramp instead. Then covered it in seagrass doormats for traction. Mine would chew carpet! They’re nibbling at the mats but that’s ok. They only cost $1.

Here’s Maple up the top. It took a couple days before she got brave enough to go up.

I do just love my bunnie’s eyes. You tell people they have red eyes and they freak out, but once you adjust to them, you see how beautiful they really are. <3
That is definitely a Roxi mouth, ha ha ha. Lionel doesn’t have that much face-fluff. And it’s hard to get a photo of his mouth because he never stands all poised like Roxi does, fancy girl.
I will see if I can fix the 4th photo today, there is also one in the TOYtorials that won’t show. Hmmmm

OMG, those are so cute.  We only ever get the basic round ones with writing on top.   

Which flavor are they?  I hate 1000 year egg flavor, I like lotus been best.  Are those from the Mainland or Taiwan?

@Eepster: I bought it from a Japanese sweets store called Minamoto Kitochan. The rabbits were part of a set that came with the traditional red bean and egg cakes. The rabbit cakes are filled with white bean paste and bits of preserved lemon. Pretty refreshing and they don’t make you feel heavy like the usual ones.
