So this may be something alot of users of the forums may already know but I thought I'd post about it all the same. Sometimes when you type a reply in the forum and hit "submit", for whatever reason the post disappears and you have to retype it all.    Can be frustrating if it was a lengthy response.  I use Microsoft Internet Explorer and discovered early on that if this happens, I can click on the back arrow to previous page and recover my post. 9 times out of 10 it reloads in the post editor box with the text.  Usually then I take advantage and highlight and copy it so as not to lose it again. You can try resubmit there but sometime you then end up with double post. I normally go back to forum, reopen topic and paste reply and submit.

It's been a handy thing to be able to do. I'm also getting into habit of copying a reply before submitting just in case - particularly if it's a lengthy one.  Hope this makes sense and helps someone down the track.

I hadn't intended to post about this as a user problem. Just something that occurs and my way round it. I had thought it a normal thing actually. However, on the day I posted this it did happen to me alot. Like near everytime I posted on the forums. It's what prompted me to post this tip as I was using it alot that day! I had thought it was just my internet connection playing up or general PC problems. Perhaps it coincided with site maintanence? Other than that it doesn't happen to me too frequently. I have noted this week a few members have comment offhand that their replys 'disappeared'.
