Toys I have tested wth my bunny

1 – Just Scrunch up lots off balls of paper and cover the whole floor off the pen my bunny goes Binky mad and then snuggles up in them

2 – Cotton wheels ( but take the cotton off )

3 – I place clean plant pots around my bedroom for my rabbit

4 –  Small Plastic tubs with holes in with small treats so when shaken treats fall out

5 – If you dont mind alot of mess grow grass in a deep tray and your rabbit will eat or maybe dig

6 –  Baby Rattles

7 –  Popsicle Stiks soaked in apple juice

8 – Coffee Jar Lids

9 –  Slinkies

10 – Paper Cups

11 – Wooden Spoons

12 – Blankets

13 – Cuddly Toys

14 – Carpet tiles

15 – Carboard boxes with holes cut in the sides and treats

16 – Little plastic tubs with pebbles in so they rattle when chucked around

I’ve tried most of them and they worked great for them.
For cotton wheels, I’m not sure what you mean by that. Do you mean the ones you use to buff cars?
And what do you do with the coffee jar lids? Do you mean the lid of the aluminum containers that you by coffee in?

Hmm, coffee lids might not be safe as the bunnies can not only chew them but ingest the plastic.  What are the cotton wheels?  The others are some great suggestions so thank you for sharing!

Yes They Mite chew but betty dosent she digs and throws things around like baby keys and tubs and stuff LOL

Not really a toy question but I thought this might be the best place to ask.

This may be a real NO NO…I was just thinking of it while I rolled around in bed last night too full of turkey to sleep :p
could you (or would it be harmful to a bunny) secure some sand paper of some sort, in the bottom of a digging box
so when bun scratches he/she files nails down at the same time.

Or would the bunny, rip it, eat it, making it too hard to secure and that cause problems? Just wondering if anyone had ever thought of a
way to naturally trim bunny nails via digging naturally as in the wild.

When I had Pygmy goats I thought about it for them but never tried it on thier laying areas where they would
dig to make a soft spot to lay.

Hi Martie that’s a good question! I know I was too full of turkey myself and we have way too many leftovers. The sandpaper, while it would file their nails down, would be really abrasive on their soft pink pads on their feet and could break the skin which would be kinda painful for our furred friends. Also, I think it would file off the fur that pads their feet too and they would get sore.  That was a great idea though, to stop having to stress your bun out from regular nail trimming.

Pepper has ignored nearly everything I ever bought for her except apple branches.  Currently her favorite playthings are:

• a paper bag that I stored my ornaments in during the off season
• a plastic pitcher fresh out of the dishwasher that has been dragged into her condo
• the plastic clamshell container from the Spring Mix I got last week
• 2 large cardboard boxes, with doors cut slightly too small so they can be renovated, and one has an old rug stuffed in it for bunching.
