I bought a rabbit toy recently, and Penelope turned it into this:

And I was horrified to see the amount of glue hidden under the fibers.

I have another photo somewhere of the string hidden inside the toy.

I emailed the toy company directly and they told me to return it to the store so that the store can resolve the issue.

        Am I overreacting?

The photo in your post is showing a broken link… not sure if that’s just my computer or not.

Ruby had a toy that was a little pingpong ball with like threaded string wrapped around it and glued there. She ripped it apart so quickly – I have given her a bunch of them since then. She rips the strings off but doesn’t seem interested at all in eating the glue so I didn’t worry too much – and she’s gotten all clean bills of health so it doesn’t seem to have affected her at all. I would only start to worry if she has a sensitive stomach or she seems intent on eating the gluey parts
