We are going to make a bunny area in our guest room. It has laminate floor. Little Doll is not very good yet at using her litterbox. She almost always pees in the litter box but still poops on the floor sometimes. What can I put under the x-pen to protect the floor?

I use tiles I bought from the local dollar store near me. Very cheap But before that I used a heavy duty tablecloth that I bought from walmart. I bought one that was easy to wipe off in case of messes, but it was also very thick so it wouldnt tear.

We use a piece of linoleum. Easy to clean, and thick enough that the bunnies can't chew through it. Most linoleum stores will sell excess scraps from cuttings and such. We used to use a tarp, which is also thick, but it's a pain because it can bunch up. And when it does that, the bunnies have an opening to chew at it.

I tried tiles at first, but in the past 2 years I got a 4'x5' low pile area rug at Target for only $20. I actually got 2, surrounded one completely with a sheet, and rolled the other up as a spare. If she had accidents, I just removed the sheet for either washing or throwing away and replacing with a fresh one. The carpet could be spot cleaned with some water and vinegar. I've been picking up a top sheet from Walmart for only $5. I didn't find any linoleum locally or I would have tried it, but Sammy doesn't like flooring. She likes carpets. (And she is excellent with her litter pan habits.)
