What about an xpen? It is a metal dog exercise pen like this: http://www.amazon.com/MidWest-Pet-Exercise-Pen-Gold/dp/B0002ZFOAY

It allows the rabbit to have tons of room to run around in! They are normally cheaper in stores. If you REALLY want a condo, you can make one out of a xpen like this!

I built this condo just for fun one day (I LOVE building things) And no bunny actually stayed in it, but if you made one like this, make sure you have a top on it if the shelf is to close to the edge.

Also this condo is AMAZING! I made an NIC condo like it, but as you can tell their is one made out of an xpen.

Here is a link on how to make it: http://budgetbunny.ca/2011/01/18/building-your-own-bunny-condo-a-step-by-step-how-to/

A video on how to make it:

Thanks for your help, I already have An xpen, but it doesn’t have a roof on and I want to build different floors in it, any advise in a suitable roof? I would like to still be able to go in and get them if I need to?

the levels can be made out of wood as shown in the video/website.

These cages were made for 2 bunnies not bonded so there is two cages stacked so you would only need one. for the top you could use clothspin a sheet or a tarp on the top, or you could also use a wire mesh.

I’ve tried looking around, and the only place i can seem to find any is through ebay – but like you, i’d prefer to be able to see in person what i’m buying! I would use the xpen i have to put in different levels, but i thought the idea of a ‘bunny condo’ made from cubes was that it takes up minimal floor space (something i really lack in my apartment)

so just keeping my eyes peeled!

I’m wondering if they are as expensive in the US

Mmm you get the amount of pieces which are pictured I believe, the description reads “allows assembly as a 5-cube set or as a 4-cube set with the extra grids used as shelves”, which I think is 16 pieces. I haven’t managed to find anything through searches which would be similar to use and as versatile I’m not sure about costco either

U can get 26 panels for about 40 ish quid from eBay though, I’m not a member of Costco, just something I saw on a forum!
